Posted on 04/08/2011 7:03:55 PM PDT by Lucius Cornelius Sulla
Seems like a good idea. Two Hours Left.
OMG! Do you all see that they are all the same. Forget the party. THEY ARE ALL OWNED BY THE ELITES. IT IS TIME FOR THE REAL REVOLUTION.
No need to wage the war here. This isn't the battlefield. It's NEXT years budget. THAT is where we must lay it on the line and expend the political capital.
I say this mainly because the GOP STILL hasn't learned to play the PR game yet. They must master this skill if they are to win this battle.
Why did not ONE GOP person call harry reid on his lie about his wife/daughter/g-daughter's medical? They aren't going to planned parenthood for screening. What a bold faced lie. Yet...they just let him say it.
Lots to learn before the BIG fight.
Remove Bonehead Boner!
We have been hosed by our own... again.
Obama now speaking. Obama ain’t happy. It sucks to be Obama.
Obama : The Biggest spending cuts in the country’s history!
38 1/2 billion budget out of what? from a 1.4 - 1.5 trillion dollar budget?
I feel betrayed, maybe it is better to let the whole thing collapse and then rebuild with the right ideas and set things as they should be. I used to work in IT and I see the U.S. like a computer with a bloated OS with zillions of patches. The hard drive needs to be reformatted, reinstall a minimalist OS (The Constitution, minus the income tax and direct election of senators) and a reboot.
Now the empty suited idiot goes on TV and claims victory, Obama had NOTHING to do with it but he gets the credit..disgusting..F him
This Romantic Tragedy - I’ll shut you down
Ironic that Qadaffi has stood up to Obama for longer than Boehner was able to.
Bonehwad took 38.5 bil. Reis handed him his butt and he left the room with his tail between his legs! Odummy is now taking credit for the outcome.
If I heard Reid correctly, they have agreed on an extension through next Thursday.
It's the state Republicans who have the will to do what's right, like Scott Walker, John Kasich and Rick Scott.
Tonight we learned exactly how much work remains to be done. Unfortunately, it is considerable. However, it is work that we can and must do if we are to save this nation.
Obama : The biggest spending cuts in the country’s history!
$38 1/2 billion budget cut out of what? From a 1.4 - 1.5 trillion dollar budget?
This is a huge victory for obozo and Reid. They knew the GOP would do what it does best, cave. Just a prelude to Paul Ryan’s bill. Back to work getting rid of more RINOS and commiecrats.
Pray for America
I agree again, but our job as Freepers is not to cheer for our guys, but whip them to do better.
Boehner came out looking like a whipped dog. He knows he screwed up and his ass SHOULD BE GRASS. Of course it could have been worse but I need for someone to explain just how!
You are lost.
This is why I will never be a republican. Cowards and rats, one and all, sniveling at the shoes of leftist tyrants. What a sad joke. Boehner couldn’t even hold the line on what amounts to chump change in another bloated fantasy budget.
In the end, we’re going to pay dearly for this crap.
McConnell from the floor of the Senate: “Let me thank my friend the Majority Leader.”
That, in a nutshell, is exactly what is wrong with Mitch McConnell and the Republican Party. Nice-nice while America sinks into the abyss.
Now they are all patting each other on the backs and saying how well they all worked together to resolve the problem...until next Friday, at least.
You buy that BS at your own risk. Wake up!
Yeah. Right. I want some of what your smoking. I've seen this movie before and know PRECISELY how it ends...right down to the last drag on the cigarette after getting our biannual screwing.
Believe me, I never look to D. C. for anything, period!
Do not support Whigs.
no the budget is about 4.2 trillion the deficit is 1.6 trillion
Well, it turns out he didn’t have to cancel his vacation, but he already did — so I guess he’s pretty upset, especially since the weather doesn’t look that good in town for golf on Sunday.
****Don’t look for courage in Washington D.C. Republicans.
It’s the state Republicans who have the will to do what’s right, like Scott Walker, John Kasich and Rick Scott.****
We will find Republicans to replace the Rinos and the spineless in DC in 2012 and 2014. It may be too late by then , but we will find them.
‘If I heard Reid correctly, they have agreed on an extension through next Thursday.’
That is a short term CR. The agreement also includes final passage of the 2011 Budget by Thursday, but it will take some days to draft the bill.
Got this in an email today. I haven’t checked on it so it might be 10 years old by now. But an interesting premise that it is ALL because of 500 some odd people that we are where we are today:

Two words...Ron Paul.
Good Lord — Reid speaking now ...guy looks like he belongs in an old folks home ...
The American people lose again, Fire every last one of the traitorous Republicans. Let them find out what a budget cut is supposed to be.
(in the primary of course)
He’s not looking forward to going to Williamsburg with Michelle and momma-in-law.
Obama is so PW’d, it’s not funny.
Funny. I was thinking the same thing. what they were haggling over is chump change. The amount of 30 or 60 is irrelevant. They should have been discussing 300B vs 600B. At some point this Congress or future congresses WILL have to deal with spending. I just don't think we have the right team to stand together and fight this right so how this ended up was fairly predictable.
We need new management in the Republican party and need to replace Boehner.
We’re broke now. This is not about proving who has the best negotiation skills, but cutting expenses now.
I hope this will finally wake up patriotic conservatives. They have been to the GOP like the Blacks to the Rats. Wake up. Ron Paul is right.
I agree but we’re outnumbered and hell, we’re all pissed off right now.
Dingy Harry blathering on, blah blah “My Good Friend”, “My esteemed colleague”, blah blah, yada yada, “we made history” blah-de-blah-blah-blah....
I’ll say this - unless the mood of the country is truly very different than what I think it is - and what we see it as on FR - these guys had better man-up and get their game on for the BIG GAME. If they don’t, it should well mark the end of the Republican Party.
I doubt Harry Reid’s wife or daughter will be needing abortions but maybe he’s hinting at something about his grandaughters? It’s just a lie, if Harry Reid is breathin’ he’s lyin’...
That would be a felony...elder abuse.
Democrats probably support Federal funded abortions, so they will run on that proudly.
Hey, see ya all again on Thursday night for a repeat.....
That is called collegiality, and the purpose is to avoid fistfights and beatings on the floor of congress, as there used to be. It is even more important when you spend 10 months of the year working together, as opposed to a couple of months every two years, as in pre-Civil War days.
I haven’t posted here for a while. But you drew me back in with your stupidity. Wake up. Grow a pair, get a grip. They’re caving over nothing. When your “real battle” comes up,.....
Damn Boehner and all who caved with him.
Get rid of him, and all who follow him.
It was never going to be easy..we knew that. Stay the course and get rid of these rino’s and/or conservatives who caved, one by one. And replace them with conservatives, one by one. It is an never ending battle. Remember that George Washington lost many a battle of one kind or another, until he WON the war.
