Daily Presidential Tracking Poll
Rasmussen Reports ^ | April11,2011 | Scott Rasmussen

Posted on 04/11/2011 7:01:22 AM PDT by Hojczyk

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows that 19% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Thirty-nine percent (39%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -20 (see trends).

Today’s numbers reflect the lowest level of Strong Approval yet recorded for this president. There has been a sharp decline in enthusiasm among liberal voters.

Currently, just 37% of liberals Strongly Approve of the president’s performance. That’s down from 63% a year ago, 57% at the beginning of 2011, and 52% a week ago. Some liberal commentators have expressed disappointment with the president over the extension of the Bush tax cuts, the military action in Libya, and, most recently, the budget deal to avert a partial shutdown of the federal government. While liberal enthusiasm may be declining, 57% of voters believe the president is more liberal than they are.

By a 48% to 37% margin, voters recognize that to significantly cut government spending would require making major changes in National Security, Social Security, and Medicare. Those items make up a majority of all federal spending.

Our problem is that the Republicans are unlikely to nominate anyone worthy of election, so (much like 2008) Obama walks to the election without serious opposition.

I don't know how he recoups. I don't think he can.

Think "9/11" or "Pearl Harbor"

You forget, there were leaders in the White House when these attacks occurred. Hussein's first instinct will be to "make sure the first responders get all the help they need". That might not be an exact quote but its close enough. Check out the primary debates 2008.

In a situation like that you need a leader who will say "The perpetrators of this act will pay dearly, and they will pay very soon."

Since the perps of such an act are likely to be Chinese or moslem or Norks, do you actually think that Hussein will make such a speech? What in his performance so far or his DNA makes you think he is up to leadership in such a situation?

Hussein is simply not up to the task. He is not a leader. He is incapable of learning on the job because he knows it all now, he knew it all before he became president.

I don't mean to be argumentative, just asking.

Any current Republican potential nominee is better than the cheap suit currently in office. Any current nominee is better than Juan McCain was. DO NOT LET PERFECT BE THE ENEMY OF THE GOOD. Get out and vote.

I will be at the polls to vote for Palin, Romney, Huckabee, Christie (I know, he says he isn’t running), Bachman, Trump...all of these people have flaws —it’s how God made us. But they are all better than the current person.

The left is always saying 9/11 was an inside job. Obama and his minions could possibly make another 9/11 an inside job. Say, Late October 2012.

Then, he gets his teleprompter loaded up, says “The perpetrators of this act will pay dearly, and they will pay very soon.” and then, after the election, hits the golf/party/vacation road again.

Press covers for him once more.

I voted for McLame and will vote for whoever runs against Obama in 2012. Sadly, a couple more votes are needed to swing the election.

Obama needs to be impeached, tried for treason and sent to a SuperMax for the rest of his miserable life.

19% are very satisfied with his job performance. Sky high gas bills, food prices through the roof, unemployment still at record levels. Do these people want the country to go bell up and that is why they think Obama is doing a great job? And what the heck will they do if the economy really tanks? Line up for their food rations?

How can they HONESTLY be upset about 38 billion in cuts out of a 1.6 trillion deficit, are they really that disingenuous?
Its like they took $5 of our lunch money and we agreed to accept back a nickel of it and the bully is unhappy with is $4.95.

If the Marxist America-hating left are pissed about the budget, then the budget can’t be all bad.

Welfare slugs. None of this affects them. All they do is breed and feed.
