America’s Left and the Art of Class Warfare
Conclub ^ | 04-23-11 | The Rat

Posted on 04/23/2011 9:29:30 PM PDT by TheConservativeCitizen

NOBODY DOES IT BETTER WHEN IT COMES TO DIVIDING AMERICA

The Rat has written recently of the left’s ongoing effort to indoctrinate the youth of America. While it’s a noble effort to be sure, its effectiveness pales in comparison to that of the other two strategies in the liberals’ three-pronged attack on America: Class warfare and a co-opted press.

Liberal Americans – particularly their political leaders and sock puppets in the media - have taken class warfare to a level previously unseen by mankind. While we may be tempted to simply dismiss these people as sniveling sore losers who whine and lash out whenever they don’t get their way, (although that does about sum it up) a closer look reveals the genius that is the tormented mind of the left-wing loon.

Yes folks, liberals have turned class warfare in America into an art form that requires a disciplined set of skills that only they have been able to master. There are basic concepts that every liberal must learn, and hone to perfection if he or she is to become a master in the craft of pitting one group of Americans against another. When it’s executed flawlessly, it’s an awe-inspiring sight to behold.

Although the Rat can’t carry a liberal wing-nut’s class-warfare jockstrap, he can provide a Cliff Notes overview of the six steps of the process you’ll need to master to be effective:

Step 1: Identify the class(es) you plan to “represent.”

This doesn’t mean that you actually have to care about these people in the least, understand their needs, or share their values. Hell, you don’t even have to want for yourself those things you pretend to want for them. You’ll find that the “less informed” your class(es) is (are), the easier it will be to sell them your line of crap. It’s also very effective to choose groups that conservatives must be careful not to offend, such as blacks, Hispanics, gays, and other minorities. The more of these minorities you can pretend to care about at one time, the more effective you’ll be.

Step 2: Identify the person, people, group(s) or thing(s) you plan to turn your class(es) against.

The best target of course, is someone or something that the class you’re patronizing already hates. If in doubt, rich people, Christians, corporations and the Republican Party will usually work just fine. It’s extra effective if you accuse one of these groups of unfairly (illegally is even better) supporting the other, such as Republican lawmakers shilling for large corporations or looking out for the interests of their rich friends at the expense of your class(es). Of course, you can attack Christianity in and of itself -just because it’s “there.” For extra effect, accuse it of bigotry against the “real” peaceful religions of the world.

Step 3: Develop easy-to-remember buzz phrases that even stupid people can misunderstand and memorize.

This step is a basic tenet of class warfare. Think about it: When members of your class(es) are attempting to memorize your talking points, it helps if they’re short and simple. Short phrases work better on hateful signs too. “Compound buzz phrases,” which incorporate two or more people or concepts are always the most effective. “Bush’s tax cuts for the rich” is a perfect example; we have “Bush” and “the rich,” who everyone already hates, coupled with “tax cuts” for someone other that the people you’re lying to. Practice creating some pathetic buzz phrases of your own.

Step 4: Pretend that the other class is attacking you, your chosen class(es) or something your class has or wants.

This is an extremely important step, particularly when you’ve bet your ass on something that didn’t work, and you desperately need to find someone else to blame it on. (Obama’s stimulus plan for example) As is the case with compound buzz phrases, it’s best if you can incorporate several people and or issues into your message. It’s very effective if you can identify the thing(s) that the evil class wants to take away from the class(es) you’re patronizing. (Social Security, or “free healthcare” as an example.) It’s even more effective if you can accuse the other side of racism when they say anything negative about your leader or his socialist programs. (It doesn’t matter that racism is not behind what is being said, your lapdogs in the media will have your back –and they’ll accuse the “guilty party” of racism too.)

Step 5: Make sure your sock puppets in the media parrot your buzz phrases, attack conservatives every chance they get, and distort or outright lie about the facts whenever possible.

This is the easiest step of them all. Not only will the left-wing loons in the “mainstream” media blindly and belligerently line up like lemmings to support or defend everything you say and stand for, (including your lies and distortions) they’ve had decades of practice and they’re good at it. Whether it’s lying or distorting against your opponents, or for you, these eager beavers are at your beck and call.

Step 6: If you find yourself in trouble, flip-flop on the issue(s) and deny, revise, or justify your previous position(s) by blaming it on George Bush.

Take for example, Obama’s original positions on Gitmo, military tribunals, gay marriage, raising the debt ceiling, presidential signage –oops, sorry, Rat got lost in the moment. Similar to the strategy utilized in step 2, the most effective method here is to link your original position to someone the class(es) you’re manipulating hates more than Satan himself: George Bush. (Although most liberals think they’re one in the same) Tell your group(s) that you only wanted to close Gitmo when it was Bush’s decision to leave it open. Or that you were only against presidential signage or raising the debt ceiling when Bush was for it. Your group(s) will buy whatever ridiculous explanation you give them; hook, line, and sinker. Although most members of the OMG will know you’re a hypocrite, they’ll pretend to buy it too. In fact, they’ll actually defend every one of your flip-flops, no matter how blatant and hysterical they may be. Cool, huh?

So there you have it. As Rat said at the top, this is merely an overview of the complex art of left-wing class warfare. He considered the typical “these are trained professionals, do not attempt these tricks at home” disclaimer, but decided against it. Shouldn’t we all be in on the joke?

The electoral process has been undermined and compromised...Toss in 2 trillion in counterfeit money and see what happens to your economy...Oh wait....lol

Toss in tens of *millions* of illegals and see what happens to your electoral process friend.

I have no solution for unrestrained decadent greed.

Sorry.

God and His tool, the market, do have a solution. It's as sure as gravity.

Parasites die when the host dies.

But make sure that your definition of greed is correct. Just because someone is rich, doesn't mean they are greedy.

Do you ever roll through a stop sign, dragnet2? I’ll bet you do.

Hiring illegal aliens is just business rolling through a stop sign. If government enforced immigration law, business wouldn’t do it. It’s a failure of government.

Oh, it's correct. Just look at America's economy and state of affairs.

Right, because greed hasn’t existed until now.

What's the ratio of a PowerBall lottery winner's earnings relative to the winnings of all the other players? Is that fair?

In this country, if you have drive, get yourself educated you can become a CEO yourself... or a movie star, or a sports star, or a musician, or a real estate whiz, or a winner in the stock market, or invent something fabulous.

Or, you can sit around whining about what you didn't do.

Boy, that's a profoundly stupid comment...As if that were the only negative consequence on American society.

If government enforced immigration law, business wouldn’t do it.

Then why do they pay government taxes?

Both the left and the right fish out of the same waters, and so the Jon Stewart media spew out the language of deceptive 'bait' and the left hauls in their catch. The leadership of the 'right' have deluded themselves into believing they can coexist with the leftist masters.

I made my case. If government enforced immigration law as is its responsibility per the Constitution, then business wouldn’t be cavalier about hiring illegals.

Now it’s your turn to argue against this.

You clearly don't get it. Who do ya think bankrolls the political campaigns? Could it be fat corps and their wealthy business insiders? Ya think fat biz has any desire to see their illegal low wage golden goose killed?

Come on....Good grief!

Most illegals are hired by small and medium sized businesses, not the big corporations. But whatever the case, it’s government’s responsibility to hold the line and enforce the law.

The hell it shouldn't be discussed! It needs to be trumpeted.

I've been involved with a company where the CEO sits by the pool each day sipping mai ties while throwing temper tantrums. This person is supported by the employees, not their leader. When the few that are left, leave, this person will have to do some actual work, and lacking a college education, and having never learned on account of having been surrounded by yes-men for so long...

That's a rather extreme case.

That said: NO ONE's work is worth billions of dollars, I'm sorry. No one's, period. Pragmatism trumps naive and purist notions of "free market capitalism", which only lead to the same kind of dictatorial hegemony we all (rightly) despise in government.

I'm a capitalist and will go to my grave a conservative, but I'm one with a brain, not a mindless free trader.

And that's bass-ackwards. The doers, the producers (you, in this case) deserve far more than the talkers and bullshitters who produce nothing tangible. Promote the engineers, the maestros, under the old German model.

Don't accept this! Their talk is cheap. Your work - which produces something that can be felt and touched - that is the real value.

Your situation is an anecdote of all that is wrong in the current American economic situation. Get rid of the damned MBAs altogether and put the sales/BSers in their proper place, in a support role with the producers calling the shots. What a novel concept: the people who do the work being the best compensated.

It's largely immaterial whether Yardstick remains blind to the obscene imbalance, or the fact that those taking away the most are by and large non-producers, talkers while those taking the least are innovators who actually build something useful, doers.

What isn't immaterial is what the American people think of this. Should we "shush" this astonishing discprenecy between the produces (earn little) and non-producers (who earn obscene incomes for playing golf/lounging at the pool)?

I say, HELL NO! We TRUMPET IT FROM THE ROOFTOPS! I'll be the first out there doing this.

Republicans had better damned well A) identify and B) play upon this populist uprising of rage if they expect to have any chance to unseat the Usurper next year.

And we had best replace our purity caps with the dusty pragmatism caps.
