Though it would force the issue. I wonder at what point it would inspire the NBC discussion and would it be possible to involve obe.

Wait a minute! Isn’t Rush a KKK-type racist?

Last time around Rush’s picks started dropping one by one until he was left promoting Mitt Romney against McCain and Huckabee. After Romney dropped out Rush stooped to Operation Chaos. Hopefully Rush won’t back Palin until She’s the only one left standing.

I’ve heard good things about West, but haven’t taken the time to check out his stated positions on a number of issues. He may be the guy, though it can be tough to jump into the big time only a few months into a first term in the House.

I think Rubio is a closet open-borders supporter, and that rules him out for me. We have to stop the massive invasion; it’s killing us.

Jindal is a smart guy, but is too weak to go up against the hardened leftists.

I just hate to see Marco, especially (our FL senator), pressured on this.

He doesn’t want any part of the presidential fray, wants to do a good job in the Senate, and seems to want to stay there.

He seems very determined to me.

In before the “Bobby Jindal is not a natural born citizen” comments.

Yeah? Is he less an NBC than Obama?

Would you like to see the liberals attack him on this issue?

I'd pay good money to see that...

I know that Jindal’s parents were not citizens when he was born, but has that been confirmed with Rubio’s?

Both Jindal and Rubio were born in the United States. Not sure if their parents were citizens at the time of birth.

Allen West is on the top of my list anyway. One hundred percent American.

Since when not being a NBC an obstacle to the presidency? Naw, we can’t get bogged down in trivial details such as this. All either one would have to do is lawyer up and seal their records. Problem fixed!

So far West hasn't disappointed me. I met him at the Freeper convention and was very impressed.

At the time I was thinking Palin / West, then Bachmann, West, then Cain / West, but why not the best first — West / Cain.

Remember—when the MSM and the left criticize West, it’s only because they’re racist. There’s no other reason.

I stopped listening to Rush when he extolled how valuable illegal aliens were for our economy. GAG!

Now that was a few years ago and thankfully he became wise and stopped making those statements. I returned as a faithful listener.

Then, in the past couple years, Rush has said that a Constitutional lawyer (Mark Levin?) told him there is no difference between a “native born citizen” and a “natural born citizen”.

(sigh!)

If true, why did our founders make a distinction in the U.S. Constitution between “citizen” eligibility for Congress, and “natural born citizen” eligibility for the Presidency?

If the only requirement to be President is to be born here, then any anchor baby could grow up to be CIC, no matter what citizenship his/her parents possessed.

It defies logic to believe the founders, who had just fought a brutal war with the most powerful empire on earth, had not thought this out. I’m certain they intended to prevent a person with dual loyalties from ever becoming President and Commander-in-Chief.

The Law of Nations is mentioned in Article I, so the Constitutional congress did read it, and the book was present during debates. Furthermore, it is natural law that a child born in a nation to citizen parents is a citizen, a natural born citizen: a legal statute isn’t required for natural law.

I believe Rush is a Trump man. He sometimes plays devil’s advocate on his show and points out negatives when conversing with Trump callers, but I think that’s just to give the appearance that he hasn’t selected a horse in this race.

On the show Rush mention Sarah’s name as a heavyweight when he was talking about Haley Barbour not running

You are right. There is a difference. We don’t give citizenship to everyone born here. The children of foreign diplomats are not currently given citizenship.

Here are three threads from 2008 mentioning Jindal as a possible presidential candidate. There is not a single mention of two citizen parents being required for natural born citizen status.
