(CNN) The White House released President Obama’s original birth certificate Wednesday.
The surprise release follows recent and sustained remarks by businessman Donald Trump, among others, that raised doubts as to whether the president was born in the United States.

Clearly a forgery. There should be a consistent “hashed” background across the document. There are many places where there are white spaces surrounding typing:

Why is her name listed as Stanley Ann Dunham Obama?? Were they married?
First of all, where is the seal/stamp that all legal birth certificates must have to ensure legitimacy? Second, why is there no signature of the father???
The Nordyke one is curved like a book on it’s left side too.
Why does the background not show in the centers of letters and why is there a white “ghost” image around all the letters? Zoom in on the File Number text to see what I mean.
Is the background printed at the same time? I would think not. It is certificate paper, and photocopiers, even color do not copy white.
Also, in box # 16 The K is higher than any of the rest of the line. Box 6b also has a misalligned letter, but that one is consistent how typewriters work. Box 16 is not. Correct me if I am wrong.

Obama was born before the Nordyke twins but has a higher number than them:

The MSM that said it was illegal/impossible to obtain, will now hail Obama for so noble, self-sacrificing and courageous a gesture.
So, they had an 8-1/2 x 11 page on the photocopier, complete with the security background and a (let’s say) 5x5 hole cut in it. Then they laid the book over the hole so that the security backgrounds of the paper and the book perfectly aligned. Then they pushed the copy button.
I’d say that’s near impossible to do.
Cause it is a pdf.

The claims of multiple millions of dollars spent to fight release come from claiming that all the money paid to a legal firm to wrap up activities from the campaign were spent to fight release simply because that was one of the many things they did. That would be akin to claiming that because (hypothetical situation here) Donald Trump has a lawyer on retainer and paid that lawyer to fight a speeding ticket, everything Trump paid that lawyer for all that he did was actually paid to fight the speeding ticket, nevermind all the other activities the lawyer participated in.
So why did he not release it earlier? Personally I think it was a brilliant political move. Rational analysis showed how ludicrous the birther claims were and by dragging things on, he had the ability to make it appear many of his political opponents who opposed his policies, on what were very rational grounds, were actually associated with birthers and therefore off their rockers.
Yes, polls showed that a good % of the population were following birther theories, but that % of the population was viewed as likely to never consider voting for him anyway, and painting his opponents as more extreme helped with the moderates.
And personally, watching all the republican congressmen refuse to refute birther theories, I think that strategy was working for him. I’m not sure why they’re releasing it now... seems like they’d be better off politically just ignoring birthers...
I don’t think they would be so stupid as to release a bad, immediately detectable forgery. They must have been working on it for a long time.
I wonder if the story about the last type writer factory closing is related....
You’re correct. The Constitution doesn’t define national born and English Law defines a child born in England by aliens as natural born.
