(CNN) The White House released President Obama’s original birth certificate Wednesday.

The surprise release follows recent and sustained remarks by businessman Donald Trump, among others, that raised doubts as to whether the president was born in the United States.

Then they shouldn’t have released it. They released because of polls, which have worsened, including among people who may have voted for him.

So....Obama thinks this is all a carnival show when a real American hero is sitting in Leavenworth because the clown in chief wouldn’t release his BC before now? I don’t see how that plays well with the American people at all! We are hopefully witnessing the beginning of the end of the Obama disaster on this country. Praise Jesus!

I’ve been on a self imposed sabatical spending time with family, but this news today is too much to resist commenting on...lol. Thank God Trump took it to Obama!

That looks like an original COLB, whereas what 0bama is showing is still some kind of copy of an original (a microfiche blown up and projected onto security paper?). Interesting that the birth hour on the copy the WH just released has the same odd looking characters in the P.M. hour of birth for authenticity.

You see this as a victory? This is a victory, but for conservatism. We no longer have to put up with the whole birther nonsense. We can move on. Trump is discredited and showed his true colors so we can get a decent candidate.

1. It's obviously a composite of two separate images . . . the stuff from the book, and a background that was made to match the background from the book. So right off the bat it's weird.

Or perhaps the paper used in the copier has the green hash already on it. Thats what it looks like to me.

Look, the idea that this is photoshopped is just nuts.

The "real" document would be in Hawaii records and always subject to eventual discovery by someone else. If the "real" document either didn't exist, or said something different, there's no way the White House would ever risk photoshopping one. They'd simply have continued stonewalling rather than run the enormous, unnecessary risk of forging an official state document.

This is a different egg entirely from Rathergate, because that was a document produced by Rather from something other than an official source. This is the White House saying this is an exact, certified copy received officially from the state of Hawaii.

First HI says it can't release it then the Governor says he cannot find it then obammy says he needs a ‘waiver’ to release what you and I show to everyone else then HI says they no longer give out the long form and now they do give out the long form and he lets an officer and doctor sit in jail for 6 months and spend $2million dollars to hide this then... ???
