Huckabee releasing S.C. team
http://processstory.com/2011/04/27/huckabee-won%E2%80%99t-run/ ^

We’ve been told that former Ark. Gov. Mike Huckabee, a rumored candidate for the Republican presidential nomination, is giving his former S.C. supporters the nod to seek work on other presidential campaigns. The word is that he’s told South Carolina staffers that they have his blessing for them to peddle their wares elsewhere. If this is as true as it appears, it’s the second major shakeup. Monday, Miss. Gov. Haley Barbour surprised everyone but himself when he announced that he would not seek the GOP nod.

The “insiders” from Huck’s last Iowa go at it have already moved on to other pastures - so I’ll give this story a bit of credence.

Makes me wonder what they know. I suspect there is something in the works.

I like your positive take.

What I'm concerned about is the void of any electable Conservatives, as of now. I respect Bachmann, but I honestly don't think she can launch a winning effort from her current position.

I should note, last week during an interview, Gov. Palin made it a point of speaking to an electable candidate having executive experience. Also, John Ziegler has changed his opinion of a Palin run, saying he now believes it's 60/40 that she will run.

Christi is worse than a RINO, he was/is for the GZ Mosque, and the only thing about him, that is anywhere near conservative, is in the financial sphere.

And he is not, not, NOT interested in running for the presidency.

I think Huckebee’s and Barbour’s decision reflects the belief that America is going to be a disaster state by 2016 and they didn’t want to be the ones trying to fix the mess.

I like Huckabee. Bob Grant stated that in 2008 he was the only person who could have defeated Obama and I believe it.

They are stepping aside for Rove to trot out Jeb Bush. Romney gets to be VP. It will be RINO vs. Rat again. What a system.

While this may be interpreted as good news, FReepers don’t need to do their happy dance yet. If the Huckster is not running for President, I’d bet dollars to donuts that he’ll be politicking twice as hard to attach himself to the GOP front runner as a VP candidate. I just can’t see him permanently hanging up his candidate boots. If he can’t get to his goal directly, he’ll try to sneak in the back door, like he did to become governor.

Good news, if true.

Huckabee out.

Barbour out.

Now if another half-dozen or so of the retreads and RINO-types follow, it could turn into a real contest next year.

Personally, I think the best and the brightest conservatives would not even contemplate running considering they would need to deal with, if they win, people like Reid, Pelosi, Schumer, Durbin, and a host of other utter and complete morons and idiots in Congress.

Look what they did to Bush and he with some major faults, but was a good and decent man and a president who took his job very seriously, someone who we could be proud of.

He Had the best interest of ALL his countryman. He was president first and foremost

I'm half surprised he didn't have some of most disgusting detractors jailed

I know I would have

I just have a feeling that is what the GOP is up to. Palin does not want to do it and the rest are bailing. Even if Bush beats Obama he will advance the Globalist one world agenda. I will go back to being a happy Libertarian instead of a frustrated conservative.
