A yearlong sting operation, including aliases, a 5 a.m. surprise inspection and surreptitious purchases from an Amish farm in Pennsylvania, culminated in the federal government announcing this week that it has gone to court to stop Rainbow Acres Farm from selling its contraband to willing customers in the Washington area.

The product in question: unpasteurized milk.

It’s a battle that’s been going on behind the scenes for years, with natural foods advocates arguing that raw milk, as it’s also known, is healthier than the pasteurized product, while the Food and Drug Administration says raw milk can carry harmful bacteria such as salmonella, E. coli and listeria.

“It is the FDA’s position that raw milk should never be consumed,” said Tamara N. Ward, spokeswoman for the FDA...

Simple remedy, Jury Nullification.

It only takes ONE juror.

My position is that there is no power delegated to the federal government to regulate milk made and consumed within a state. I challenge the FDA to show me where in Article 1 Section 8 of the Constitution that the States delegated the power to regulate milk. Ain't there.

I drank it as a kid. I thought it was nasty.

And look how I turned out.

Coincidence? I think not.

It is Joe 6-pack's position that bureaucratic busybodies should mind their own damn business.

When we lived in Wisconsin, every farmer sells the locals his milk from the bulk tank for $1.00 per gallon. You just don't talk about it.

Fill, drink, and shut-up.

I grew up on raw milk from an infant until 18. It was so hard to get used to store bought milk. Would love to have a glass of raw milk again because I have forgotten what it tasted like.

Thousands have died or been made sick by this criminal Amish Farmer who has been busted for selling MILK.

While thousands of acres of our National Parks are dangerous to walk in because of Marijuana growers, the Feds have been spending thousands of man hours trapping this Amish Farmer.

“It is the FDA’s position that raw milk should never be consumed,”

The FDA wants us all to drink the chalky crap they put out which has been robbed of all of it’s nutrients by stripping it of cream, skimming it, for making butter and dried Creamer for coffee, By the time we get it there isn’t much left.

Big brother is doing us a favor and saving us from ourselves, while outlawing growing tobacco but allowing marijuana. By saving us from a farmer who produces real milk and elling us left over scraps from the pasteurization and skimming process.

Shame on any farmer trying to make a buck without government interference. I am old enough to remember when we had to shake our milk to get the cream back in it before drinking it or skimming the cream off ourselves. Not to worry now, we don’t have to shake it now, everything is already been skimmed.

Now if you’re talking raw milk, remember springtime raw milk on grass fed cows and the onion taste from all the spring onion grass? Yech! Ruined many a bowl of cereal!

Me? I blame the cows. Our cows always gave pasteurized milk and even put it in glass bottles for us.

Oh yes! That’s when we drank powdered milk which barely tastes like milk but I still keep it on hand.
How about dipping the cream off the top of every gallon for a week and making ice cream with it? You know, when the cream rises to the top. LOL! Lots of people don’t realize where that saying came from.

Actually I switched to Kroger Almond Milk about a year ago. I am a big milk drinker and it was giving me problems with joint pain.

Kroger took a little while to get the formulation and process just right, but it is outstanding, inexpensive, and does not sour.

I need to give up cheese and yogurt as well. I switched to really expensive aged Vermont Cheddar @ $18 per pound, so I really did cut back on amount I consume. Yogurt I just had to give up.
