Obama and Seth Meyers headline
Politics and Hollywood collide again at tonight's annual White House Correspondents' Association Dinner. The event has evolved into a star-studded affair as celebrities descend upon Washington, joining journalists and President Obama.
This year's comedian headliner, Saturday Night Live's Seth Meyers, is charged with the task of poking fun at the President and Washington politics.
Each year, the President uses the occasion to show a more humorous side as well, making fun of himself and the people who cover him.
The purpose of the annual dinner is to raise money for WHCA scholarships and honor the professional recipients of the WHCA's journalism awards," according to the White House Correspondents' Association (WHCA) website.
C‑SPAN begins tonights live coverage with the red carpet arrivals at 6:45pm EST. See complete coverage at C‑SPAN's White House Correspondents' Dinner webpage.

I love the steely gaze from Trump..should be some good sound-bites this week.
That’s not allowed. We are in the Peoples Republic of North Amerika now.
I agree. I wish Trump would have laughed at the jokes because now he’s gonna be all over the news even more.
None of his 2012 GOP hopeful jokes were funny. And didn’t get a lot of laughs.
I am recording it now.... this has gone beyond the pale. This is a campaign commercial by media for Obie. Roasting of Trump and all contenders against the ONE. If ANYONE believes the media is NOT a propaganda tool for Obama they are delusional..
The racist remarks were not funny and Trump is steaming.
Seth the Mess now talking about Obama.
“What can I say about Joe Biden that hasn;t already been mis-said by Joe Biden.”
“If Joe Biden attended the Royal Wedding: Wedding Crashers 2.”
“Joe Biden: I’d like 2 Amtrak tickets to London.”
Disclaimer: not actual transcript of comments. Abridged because I can’t type all of the words fast enough.
No wonder SNL hasn’t been funny for ages. This guy has been the head writer the past 5 years or so.
I agree getting into Obama’s face does not make you a conservative- but I would take ANYONE over Obamnbi now, and Trump is the ONLY one with the balls to confront him
That being said, I think it will be Palin/Bachman 2012 and they will kick O’s butt all over the place, and Trump will be gracious and an active supoort
I am not sure if he thinks he can win- but i think he is smart enough to help defeat obama if he does not
When you watch old Bob Hope monologues, and the Dean Martin roasts, you see real humor.
Not this crap.
Well if it would have been one or two jokes and not so mean-spirited maybe Trump would have laughed. But this was the White House Correspondents Dinner not a Donald Trump roast.
It's also telling that Obama can't make jokes about himself. This compounds the fact that he just isn't a very funny person. Bush, OTOH, was a riot and almost all of his jokes were either about himself, or his administration. Obama used the night as a platform to launch political weapons at his enemies. Again, probably not surprisingly.
I hear ya. They are great at vetting Trump’s draft record. Too bad they didn’t bother to do any vetting of Obama....

I agree. He and 0 both spent way too much time on Trump and it was so cruel. Not funny at all.
Absolutely. This was horrible but SO obvious. I feel so bad for Melania...did you see her just walk out with Donald?
So, what a bunch of racists. There were no black faces to be seen in the crowd. Guess Juan crash dummy Williams is the token black.
I tuned in only to see this Meyers twerp. The jokes about the networks were okay, but the personal attacks...yes, personal...on Trump were absolutely vicious. I wonder if the flammable tie joke could open Seth Meyers up to a lawsuit? He actually slandered a product (and Macy’s).
