Geraldo just announced Obama will make some sort of statement in 30 minutes. Geraldo says this is unusually late and figures it has something to do with Libya.
obama has a 9 day waiting period for reacting to things. why the big rush?

So why is the President late? Why not wait for this to break normally? What are the ramifications if he is dead? (in terms of our national security)
I don’t really even care anymore about Bin Laden. He has been impotent for almost 10 years now. I’m glad we got him, but I don’t feel that anything will be different tomorrow than they were today because he’s dead.
In fact, things might be more dangerous tomorrow, because power abhors a vacuum, and we probably don’t have the next leader of AQ on our radar (unless of course he’s one of the libyan rebels that we are arming and training).
