NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- After jumping more than 3 cents over the weekend, gas prices across America could top $4 a gallon this week, according to one industry analyst.

"We're going to hit $4 this week, nationally," said Tom Kloza, chief analyst at the Oil Price Information Service. "There's enough momentum to take us up there."

As of Monday, the national average price for a gallon of regular gasoline now stands at $3.952, according a daily survey from motorist group AAA. That's up from $3.943 a gallon on Sunday and continues a 44-day streak of gas price increases.

We’re at $3.94 here in NH.

There are now 13 states where it is over $4.

Did this guy take a trip in the Way Back Machine? We are heading towards $4.25 wherever I go. $4.00 is old news. It is time to start thinking about $5.00.

I’ll take two more big weekend hits this summer because I live close to Michigan Speedway. We always get a spike on race weekends due to race traffic.

This is a national average from AAA.

Although I too find it hard to believe. Places like California are heading to $5. So to average it under $4 would mean some states are still in the low-mid 3s. Where are these states? LOL!

I saw a couple of $4 signs today in NH for the first time.
