Furthermore it’s now reported his wife wasn’t killed..just shot, and she willingly identified the body and could have requested it then...she refused as did nations who were asked to take the body. Nobody wanted a parade of terrorists coming into their country

It is said that we lost no soldiers in the fight. What about the heli crash? Did those in that chopper all survive? If so, that would be a miracle. I’m also remembering how the capture of Saddam was handled. He was subjected to all sort of humility and his hanging and his dead body was displayed for the world to see. Why all the secrecy over this body? I’m sorry, but this president is a walking lie. How can he be trusted on anything?
And then the helicopters just hovered above waiting for 40 minutes? How do the commandos get back up? shinny up ropes, or is there some sort of a mechanism to reel them in? How do you get a corpse up to a waiting helicopter? A rescue basket?
It would be so cool if they would release the war porn.
bin Laden screwed up. The brilliant manipulator of marketing and his architectural experience (boasted in his 9-14 video) could have done 3 things:
1. Eliminated landing sites for helos: an open field, vs. a field filled with pipes.
(Actually, by accident, he did. The helo that went down was caught in a vortex wind caused by the proximity of the walls. It was a soft landing, not a crash, but because of the air trapped, it could not take off. There are many good descriptions of this effect from helo pilots.)
2. Laden did not prepare an underground bunker that he could temporarily escape to. For sure, this would have been discovered, but would have given him time to escape, via (3).
3. An underground escape route would have included a tunnel to a safe location with a van that could carry him away. We would have lost him again.
Laden obviously felt secure, and did not take these steps.
We can wonder why.
