Pres. Obama has decided NOT to release any photos.

Pakistan is saying that not only was OBL not armed, but that there was no fire fight at all. This was an assassination, pure and simple (which I am fine with), but it is amusing watching the Obama administration spin and obfuscate. Obama knows that killing OBL gains him nothing with his basem abd he should have given credit where credit is due rather than hogging it all for himself if he planned to get a bump from the right. Obama is an embarassment.
I completely agree. They are playing good cop bad cop. We will see them by the end of the week.
He who hides something has something to hide. It’s just his natural instinct.
How about we don't know Osama's dead because we haven't heard it from a credible source?
No problem releasing 2000 photos of detainees from Abu Ghraib a couple of years ago. Didn’t seem to mind the possibility of “fanning the Islamic flames” since it was Bush’s fault!
Count on it. Big time. Even if photos had been released, the same people would be shouting in all caps: "It's Fake! Layers! Pixels! Photoshop!"
Barry learned one lesson well since his immaculation. Ignore the birthers, spend a few million in legal fees to make it obvious he's hiding something, drive them even crazier. Fuel the conspiracists to the exploding point. Enlist his apparatchik in the MSM to hang the birthers around the necks of every single potential 2012 GOP candidate. In every single interview allow them to speak of nothing else, especially not the economy or Obamacare. Just keep talking over them, with "Will you denounce the birthers?!? Do you believe Obama was born in Hawaii?!?" Then, if the polls begin to show there's blowback, BAM! release the proof and make everyone who doubted it, or didn't denounce it, look like complete kooks. You don't want kooks like that in charge of the country, do you America?
This one's going to be much much worse. The One is riding a wave of positive public sentiment over the death of OBL. If The One can fuel a lot of conpiracists, as he did with the BC issue, there will be more public sympathy for him about this than there was about the BC. A lot more. As the conspircay voices gain volume, I can just hear the MSM demanding of Palin...Bachmann...Cain...all of them, "Will you denounce the deathers?!? Do YOU believe the United States military killed OBL in Pakistan?!? Do you think the military is lying to the American people?" On and on, and no other topic of conversation will be allowed. It will be asked over and over during every GOP debate.
The One will drag this out as long as possible, until the conspiracy voices reach a fever pitch and sound nuttier and nuttier. Then, BAM!, here are the photos, you hyenas. Followed by a huge bump for The One in the polls. With the price of gas going up and up, employment going up, the economy in the dumpster, this is the best shot, maybe the only shot, The One has at being re-elected. You bet he's going to use it. Shamelessly and to great effect.
10-1 Odds Zero will release the entire 40 minute ceremony on the Carrier to appease muslims, yet do nothing to appease americans.
Photos would`ve provided evidence bin Laden was killed Sunday. So upon what are you basing your assumption he was? All we have so far are words from:
1. Obama`s regime
2. The state-run media
3. The Pakistanis
So.. we are to place trust in those fine, upstanding people.
Here you have an operation that was so meticulously planned that they even built a replica of the compound and practiced the raid several times. They even planned out what to do with the body.
So why the anguish and delay over the photo decision? I'm betting they had already "war gamed" the pros and cons of releasing the photo.
I'm betting that they made the decision to release the photo, thus the comments by Panetta but Obama has now chickened out.
They could have had his DNA from the goat's butt he left behind in Afghanistan.
What a terrible thing to say! Just because he went golfing, then to sleep, ending a 16-hour wait before he allowed the SEALs to continue. He got a one day 6 point bump. Now he's back in the cellar where his ratings belong.
In an interview with Steve Kroft for this Sunday’s “60 Minutes,” President Obama says he won’t release post-mortem images of Osama bin Laden taken to prove his death.
Video of the comments will appear on the CBS “Evening News” on Wednesday.
Republican House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Rogers said Wednesday that the Obama administration should not release the gruesome post-mortem images, saying it could complicate the job for American troops overseas. Rogers told CBS News he has seen a post-mortem photo.
“The risks of release outweigh the benefits,” Rogers said. “Conspiracy theorists around the world will just claim the photos are doctored anyway, and there is a real risk that releasing the photos will only serve to inflame public opinion in the Middle East.”
“Imagine how the American people would react if Al Qaeda killed one of our troops or military leaders, and put photos of the body on the internet,” Rogers continued. “Osama bin Laden is not a trophy - he is dead and let’s now focus on continuing the fight until Al Qaida has been eliminated.”
Can’t leak photos that don’t exist!
Yes, let's move on, King Barry, but not before you do a victory lap around Ground Zero for the media. What a worthless piece of ... I won't say any more. I'd get banned if I posted what I think about this very small and petty man.
Supposedly a 40 minute fire fight? Or is it 40 minutes total for the entire op? This is still unanswered. If it was a long fire fight, there would be a LOT of brass on the ground. I didn’t see one spent casing from the footage of the “compound” I doubt the SEALS had time to police their brass and collect the computers, flash drives, and dead terrorist. So, how much resistance was there and how long did the fire fight really last?
We may soon get pictures of the death of UBL...except they might not be the White House version.
