ISLAMABAD (AP) - Pakistan's army broke its silence Thursday over the U.S. commando raid that killed Osama bin Laden, acknowledging its own "shortcomings" in efforts to find the al-Qaida leader but threatening to review cooperation with Washington if there is another similar violation of Pakistani sovereignty.
The tough-sounding statement was a sign of the anger in the army. It also appeared aimed at appeasing politicians, the public and the media in the country over what's viewed by many here as a national humiliation delivered by a deeply unpopular America.
While international concerns are centered on suspicions that elements of the security forces sheltered bin Laden, most Pakistanis seem more upset that uninvited American soldiers flew into the country, landed on the ground and launched an attack on a house - and that the army was unaware and unable to stop them. That it happened in an army town, next door to a military academy and close to the capital has added to the embarrassment.

Bam won’t do it. His buddy is Pakistani Muhammed Hasan Chandoo.
We need to tell the Pakis we’re sorry and we won’t kill OBL again.
yea? Then give up Mullah Omar , Ayman al Sawahiri and Adam Gahdan , NOW.....
Four words for Pak to consider : we will support INDIA
Snip: The Pakistani army also warned that it would review its military and intelligence cooperation with Washington if the United States carries out any more similar raids. Earlier, the government had warned of "disastrous consequences" if the U.S. staged a similar attack on its territory.
Snip: Foreign ministry spokeswoman Jiang Yu stopped short of directly criticising the daring raid by US special forces on Pakistani soil that ended with bin Ladens death but said national sovereignty should be respected at all times.
Snip: COAS threatened to review cooperation with the United States if it conducted more raids like the one that killed Osama bin Laden.
Not gonna happen.
Ah shutup.....you won't see or hear us the next time either.....
Maybe the Pakistan army doesn't realize they could be leveled in a heartbeat. Who in the hell do they think they are. A full scale war would be the same that happened to Iraq except the waste land would not be occupied by us and no money from us to rebuild.
Plausible deniability. Most likely scenario is we found OBL, sent Hillary and Boehner over there to confront them, they agreed to let us handle it as long as we didn’t kill their people and they could deny any knowledge of it later on.
Wasn’t it Pakistan that botched up his capture a few years back in a joint venture with the US?
Sounds about right!
We will be back for Omar just so you know...........
Raids? What raids?
You never saw us, and we were never there.
