He placed a wreath at Ground Zero, met with 9/11 firefighters and vowed that, when we say we will never forgot, we mean what we say. But it seems like the president did overlook one detail putting names on the invitations to 9/11 families.
The administration apparently sent out form-letter invites to 50 hand-picked relatives of 9/11 victims, which began Dear 9/11 family member. At least one family has turned down the request, saying that they felt the letter was impersonal.
If this form letter was the invitation, it was kinda lame, said John Vigiano, who lost two heroic sons one a firefighter and the other a police officer in the attack. Im honored the president of the United States is coming to New York, he said. [But] to me its just going to be a photo op.
The form-letter does seem a bit lame, especially since the family members were chosen beforehand. It shouldnt have been difficult for the White House to type out 50 names on stationary. This isnt something that will dampen the good-will New Yorkers have toward Obama, but it is an unfortunate mistake. Its the first time Obama has been to pay his respects at Ground Zero since taking office, and this flub does make him come off as detached.
“[But] to me its just going to be a photo op.
Boy, he get’s it!! Hussein does NOTHING that isn’t for himself.
“Debra Burlingame, the sister of Charles “Chic” Burlingame (pilot of the plane that crashed into the Pentagon) met with President Obama today, along with other families who were victims of 9/11. Burlingame said she confronted Obama about Attorney General Eric Holder prosecuting the men who interrogated KSM, which may have produced intelligence leading us to bin Laden.
Burlingame describes the encounter with Obama: “As a former attorney I know you can't tell the Attorney General what to do, he said, ‘No, I can't.’ But I said ‘we — that shouldn't stop you from giving your opinion. We wouldn't be here today if they hadn't done their jobs. Can't you at least give them your opinion.’ And he said ‘no I won't,’ and he turned around and walked away.”

This was a 'slip up'; whereby Obama's 'audience' gets a peak at the ugly - albeit authentic - Obama; if only for moment.
And even worse than the original contemptuous 'oversight'; will be their 'real' response to this outing of rude. . .the response we will not see or hear about. Unless, there is another slip up. . .
Class ... he ain’t got none.
You can’t impeach because “someone” has the manners of a creature raised in a barn.
They should have worn name tags identifying themselves as ‘9-11 Family Member’...
Yeah ... who would expect anything else? Yes, it's in dreadful taste, but the Obamas are in the dictionary to illustrate "dreadful taste." His actions in office - failure to enforce Federal immigration law, for example - may be worthy of impeachment, in a perfect world, but being low-class is just being himself.
Whoever is in charge of protocol is probably some political payback hiree who knows absolutely nothing and can’t be bothered to find out. This person has made missteps like this since Obama was elected: bowing to other heads of state, clueless gifts, touching the Queen, the list goes on and on. I also heard these invites were sent via email, so that is really cheap and lazy, if true.
Obama would need to be fitted for a Presidential plug before landing on a carrier.
But he ran his Senate office and a Presidential campaign. He told us himself that doing that qualified him for President!
(Do I really need to add a “/sarc” tag?)
I suppose it could have been worse, he could have addressed them to “Occupant”.
Obama - The Polished turd Of The United States (POTUS)- Shiny and polished on the outside, nothing but pure $%!# on the inside!!!
A woman asks her friend a question, "What do you think about President Obama's visit to Ground Zero today?"
The second woman speaking with a New Yawk accent replied,"He shouldn't have done it. All he was doing was prancing before the cameras."
What a pig.
Well at least it didn’t say Dear Comrade.
