Yes if one specific candidate doesn’t run then the guy that just lost will “walk” back in. Okay.
Thompson interest is already up, he “isn’t ruling it out”. He should get the hell out now lest he dissuade anyone else from running.
And what's the status of collective bargaining temp restaining order issued by "turd" Judge Sumi? You can respond back in a private mailing if you want. Thanks!
Here’s some info on Prosser-Kloppenberg recount.

There are several other Dems I would have ranked as more vulnerable than Bingaman (Menendez, Cantwell and Manchin). Heck, Akaka was probably more vulnerable than Bingaman, even though HI showed in 2010 that it was sticking with liberals (and Akaka’s retirement only helps the Dems hold the seat). Bingaman’s retirement was a true gift.
Well he’s worth a quarter-billion, so he can afford it. It’s not that he is likely to surpass his shining triumph for 22 years in the Senate — handgun childproof safety locks.
Lieberman and Akaka also retiring.
Waukesha County was given a waiver until May 26th but they expect to be done with it sooner than that. There has been no significant change in the numbers tallied after recount.
Delay there was aided by Kloppy’s people protesting about every bag in Brookfield. They won’t win the recount, but are likely going to try to get all of Brookfield’s votes thrown out for “inconsistencies” in ballot handling (ripped bags, not cinched tight enough, etc). Its the only way they can win this. Of course any Kloppy challenge goes before Dane County judge.
At this point even the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel has said enough is enough.
As for Sumi I have no idea. That’s been back burnered with everything else going on. I’m assuming they are trying to get to the state wide recall votes before Dane County judges make another ruling.
Never boring back here in WI these days :)
Tommy Thompson was a good Governor, but I think his time has passed. I also think that Paul Ryan should stay where he is. J.B. Van Hollen would be the best choice for many reasons.
I bet Dems are already planning recounts of the recall elections if they don’t like the results.
If Thompson’s wife wouldn’t let him run last year, I doubt she’ll let him run next year.
Dear God I hope so.
Don’t tar me with your “anti Mark Neumann” brush. I used to just LOVE Mark Neumann, but I lost every shred of respect I had for him in his unconsionable attack on Scott Walker last year. And then I find that he wants to burden Wisconsin with more ethanol requirements and so-called “green energy”. Don’t need that here and now.
They’re already trying to nullify the recalls against them by saying there was fraud and trickery committed to get the signatures they needed so your bet won’t be taken by me :)
I agree with you (afraidfortherepublic), Mark Neumann has lost my respect. When Mark and his wife would attend Republican functions, they would stand at the doorway and greet people. They just never seemed part of the crowd; always seemed to have a superior attitude. I didn’t care for the way Mark Neumann ran his campaign. There were out and out lies being put out on a daily basis.
Sorry for my delayed response....... but THANKS for the update!
