‘Unforgivable’: Intense Video Captures Iowa Voter Calling Gingrich ‘Embarrassment’ for Ryan Remarks

This was the spontaneous encounter that Newt Gingrich absolutely did not need today. Already in damage control for his comments implying that Rep. Paul Ryan’s plan to fix Medicare amounted to “right-wing social engineering,” and the fuzziness of his how his views on individual healthcare mandates might differ from Obamacarian ones, Gingrich had even posted a video clarifying his views. And then this happened. Just one of those chance meetings in the lobby of a Holiday Inn that can prove enormously problematic for a presidential candidate. Key part of the clip hits about 1:40:

Conservative don't appear willing to accept the typical "I'll cross the isle" candidate this time, at least not this Conservative.

I love this guy (Russell Furhman)...more guts than Noot ever thought about having. Gave Noot the smack down. He's right...Noot is an embarrassment. This attack on Ryan's Medicare plan is beyond the pale.

Like Ryan said, "with opposition like this (Noot), who needs liberals?"

I’m not a Newt fan, but at this point in the game, the more running the better. Let them battle it out and let the cream rise to the top. I’d rather have a candidate selected that way than by the establishment (who gave us McCain and Dole).

Newt needs to run in the Democrat Primarys.

Everyone but his media pals think he is a joke.

I feel exactly like the guy in the video. Does Newt think that we’ve been sitting around waiting for him?
Every time I see him, I imagine him just coming from dinner with Colista at a fancy restaurant. That’s what he is good for: being a fixture on the DC circuit.
Rush had some irate callers today too, one going off on a certain “Conservative talk show host” who is promoting Newt on his radio show...Guess that would be his good pal, Hannity.
Give it up already, you guys. And Newt, go away and stay away!

Let's hope Newt takes his advice.

He has become an embarrassment.

The man gave Newt good advice. Get out before you make a bigger fool of yourself.

Newt just shot himself in the foot, ended his campaign before it got started.

Watch the video where Newt desperately tries to blame the liberal media. The bottom line is that Gregory completely owned him on MTP and Newt was stupid enough to accept his premises.

Going on MTP was a huge mistake for Newt, or for any GOP candidate, but I'm glad he did and completely imploded. These people are subsidies of the DNC and their #1 objective is to get Obama re-elected at all costs.

Notice how Sarah has control over her own message and doesn't allow these clowns to set the narrative. The days of Republican candidates courting the middle or going after moderates is obsolete. Conservatives are hungry, and we're not going to hold our noses anymore for another squish picked by the liberal media.

What’s sad is Newt really does have some great conservative ideas now and again. I think if he were President his heart would mostly be in the right place. But he is a babbler, thinks out loud and is prone to looking for “common ground” with far leftists like Pelosi on things like the global warming scam.

Newt never really had much of a chance, but declaring Ryan’s medicare reform radical right wing social engineering is a massive stab in the back of virtually every congressional Republican who really stuck their neck out to try to fix an out of control entitlement. Newt is absolutely done.

I think he set some kind of record. His big announcement was what, a week ago, and he's already an also-ran. It is like a bunch of runners at the starting line...the gun is fired, the runners sprint, and Newt trips over his left foot and falls on his face. Way to make history, Newt!

Newt was stupid enough to accept his premises.

Shoot, the entire GOP field did that in '08 from the Michigan debate on. Totally.

I don’t know - didn’t Biden announce in the morning and then make that “clean, articulate” comment by that same afternoon?

You have an impeccable memory!

From CNN (2007): Sen. Joe Biden planned to spend Wednesday focusing on his official announcement that he was running for president, but the Delaware Democrat instead found himself defending remarks he made to the New York Observer about his Democratic opponents.

The article was published the same day. And it was the "clean, articulate" comment that got the lefties all up in arms. Until Joe became the running mate. Then they forgot all about that one, and the one he made about not being able to go into a 7-11 without having a slight Indian accent.
