Strauss-Kahn was set up, French say

When news broke that Dominique Strauss-Kahn was arrested in New York on criminal sex charges, theories that the IMF chief had been set up began circulating in France.

By Joseph BAMAT / Sébastian SEIBT (text)

In the immediate aftermath of Dominique Strauss-Kahn’s dramatic arrest, the majority of French people were inclined to believe that the managing director of the International Monetary Fund was the victim of a conspiracy, an opinion poll revealed on Wednesday.

The survey, conducted by French polling agency CSA after New York City police charged Strauss-Kahn with sexually assaulting and attempting to rape a hotel maid in a luxury hotel, found that 57 percent of people interviewed thought he was set up. Just 32 percent of people thought he was not the victim of a plot and a further 11 percent had no opinion.

It is true that MSM did not pursued Slick's case hard enough. It was ignored. However, they are on this guy's case with all their resources.

I won't work up against French dragging Slick out. It does not make Dominique any less guilty. By the way, Monica thing was consensual, even if it is a repugnant thing to do on Slick's part. However, Juanita Broderick case is completely different. You may hear a lot about Juanita case from French. You can tell French that they can mobilize international pressure on Slick's old case. Perhaps Juanita can do another interview. This time the media climate could be favorable to him. Especially in France. We can hang Strauss-Kahn, Slick and MSM all in the same package.

If true. Call it poetic justice.

By the time this gets to trial he should have full blown aids.

Or will his Lawyers arrange SECRET treatments.

...Juanita Broderick case is completely different.

You are totally right there. Juanita sat on her story for years instead of making it a issue immediately. The maid went right to the cops. Secondly, the issue would only be fodder for the Frogs. The US couldn't really care less about allegations that went nowhere 20 years ago. Immobilize to bring up what? If you don't recall every right winger under the sun was doing everything they could to light that fire back in the day, but it was a purely he said she said with out a scrap of evidence. The Frogs sabotage us whenever they get the chance so I don't see how this will change our relationship one iota.

Things have calmed down after Sarkozy took power. With this, it would be back to Chirac and De Villepin days. On the other hand, if Sarkozy is reelected, this episode would be relegated to an issue mainly among French socialist crowds. There is a real difference between President Chirac and President Sarkozy. Sarkozy would not actively throw roadblocks at U.S., as far as I know, general attitude of French elite notwithstanding.

Look at that old bastid. Do you really believe this 62 year old Frog, could sodomise a 32 year old African Woman without her consent?

She would heave beat his butt and handed it back to him.

Doesn’t mean this old turkey should be running the IMF.

Set up?? I dont know, but there is more to this than meets the eye.

I don't even care if he WAS set up-he didn't have to take the "bait".

He is guilty of being VERY stupid at the absolute minimum, and such a stupid man should not be in charge of anything more important than mucking out the stables!

Ben Stein he say "He is one of the most recognizable people on the planet"

DMK. he's like J'Lo, Li-Lo, Snooki, GaGa. Always on the cover of People

She could be a foreign operative.

In the US for 13 years, working as a hotel maid. That's deepest cover sleeper agent.

Oh come on, just because Obama wants to install his own White House Aide Lipton in the top IMF spot, you think Dominique was set up?

Yeah and OJ is going to look for the real killer after he gets out of jail.”””

The Nevada Supreme Court denied O J any getting out of jail card or a retrial just yesterday.

He is Lovelock, in the N Nevada desert & when we go to Winnemucca yearly, we all flip him the bird as we drive by the prison. I sincerely hope he dies there.

“There is no good resolution to this one.”

A good resolution would be for this socialist douche bag to be convicted and sent to prison, forever ruining his career and pi**ing off the 57% of the French who think this was a set up. I mean really, who cares what they think? They are French idiots.

"An old, rich French guy who likes anal sex?"

Oral sex. He is a rapist not a homosexual.

She may have. He tried to get her underwear off but was unsuccessful. Forced oral sex was the best he could manage.

If this scandal was engineered, I would suspect some interested party who wanted to reduce or eliminate the current head of the IMF - and the parties that got him to that position - from influence in picking his successor, and that they wanted his successor to be chosen sooner than would have been the case waiting for the end of his term. As much as non-European capitals have been pushing for a non-European head at the IMF, any culprits may have been from a nation outside Europe. Just conspiracy guessing.

How many days was he there?? How many days did she clean his room? Sure might be a lot of opportunity to swoop up plenty of DNA. Hair ...dirty sheets (yuk)....pillow cases...tooth brush (saliva)

They were running in the hall??? There are security cameras all over the place.

So he decided to jump her even though he had a luncheon engagement with his daughter.

i agree she could have “beat his but”.
and normally i would agree completely.
(you write good stuff !)
but, while i think false accusations are MUCH more common, than most people realize, this wasn’t an American girl.
this was a lady who grew up in Africa.
(and a Muslima. while the terrorists sure like their porn and sex, Muslim women are not known for being promiscuous. ...i had a Muslim girlfriend who was terrified even at the idea of being seen in a public Chucky Cheese with me and my son...)
so sadly, women in many countries, learn not to resist...
and this maid had what is a great job for her,
to support her and her child.
so who knows what ran threw her mind, in the immediate shock of being attacked ?
i believe she didn’t report it, until after she got home, and probably had people encourage her to report it.
(and it’s quite possible, he did the same to other maids, who were too afraid to report it at all.)

Right, then what was his sperm doing in her butt and why was she bleeding?

According to a report I saw, it was in her mouth, and she spit it out. That's why the NYPD carried away a generous chunk of $3000/night carpeting.
