Here are the tags in the original article on the esquire site: birther book, jerome corsi, where's the birth certificate, drudge without context, birthers, wingnuts, humor.
It's attempted humor, people. Ha ha.

This will just increase demand. Not very smart if they intended to damage Corsi. My first thought, as well...now you have generated a speculative demand...someone sees this article; then spots the book at a local store. They buy it, thinking they may have a 'collector's item'...some may buy several copies, hoping to make a 'killing' on eBay.

You do realize the blog post is tagged “humor” right? Did you read the entire thing? It’s not serious.

Flood Esquire Mag’s 1-800# Customer Service with calls and ask why they are lying. It’s as simple as that. Demand an answer!

Oh and yes, everyone looks at the tags on “Breaking News” articles on the front page of a magazine’s website. Corsi is hopping mad about it, I guess he just doesn’t have a sense of humor.

It appears Corsi is directly over the target. If Corsi is correct, then Esquire.com has handed him a very phat and lucrative "cause of action".
Of course, this could be "Drew Pearson journalism" -- in which a resolutely impecunious writer (his wealth hidden or placed with others for safekeeping) smears political enemies relentlessly, paying no heed to the frequent, and frequently successful, lawsuits for libel and defamation.
Which would be just about the NetRoots' speed.

I have seen posters claim they already had the book a few days ago and have already read it. How is this possible?

I’ve just read the free intro on amz.com and it is excellent! I am buying this book right now, and plan on advertising it on my blog

If it’s humor then it really should be stated loud & clear-this isn’t funny. Why come to FR and have to watch for “humour booby-traps” all the time?
This is a serious subject that Corsi has written about and it concerns the health & welfare of all US citizens and what the heck is going down in Wash DC with this bc mess.
It’s not funny at all.

This is humor blog post. It’s a joke by Esquire.
I do not think Corsi wrote a book called “Capricorn One: NASA, JFK, and the Great Moon Landing Cover-Up”. At least I hope not.
