The PS3 works fine for Netflix and is a good game console as well. My only complaint is that the operating system software for online PS3 seems to update about once a week.

I have a Samsung BD-C5500C. I suggest you avoid this model - very slow menu response time and most DVDs require multiple attempts before the system can play them.

I bought a cheap Samsung refurb and found it better than the new one I bought. The thing is, it had someone else’s email address on it that couldn’t be simply deleted - I had to call up Pandora to do that.

I love Samsung. They make a good product.

I have this one. http://www.amazon.com/Sony-BDP-S570-Blu-ray-Disc-Player/dp/B0036WS4D4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1305987497&sr=8-1 It has worked well. But I rarely watch blu-ray. With most blu-ray you cannot stop the movie and then continue at the same point, but must start from the very beginning of the disk. This is most annoying. For that reason, I use DVDs (which my player upscales to 1080p).

I have a LG, not WiFi, and it handles BlueRay and NetFlex just fine.

I drink a special elixir from Scotland right before bed and the movies come to me on their own. No need for any devices.

Really, I was shocked that blu-ray would never remember where I was in a movie to resume watching later. It seems like such a simple thing to be able to do instead of starting over each time.

I am serious. The BD-J disks which now comprise the great majority will simply not permit a “resume” function. It you stop the disk, you must start from the very beginning. You can pause it and then continue (but most players will automatically stop after 10 minutes or so), but you cannot stop. Makes it difficult to watch part of a film and then continue the next day without a lot of hassle. This is why I have abandoned blu-ray until this is fixed.

There are many discussions of this problem on-line. here is one: http://www.handcoding.com/archives/2009/04/03/oh-so-thats-why-some-blu-ray-discs-dont-resume/

That’s if you turn off the player, I think. You can certainly pause movie for as long as you want.
