Well let me amend my remarks to say that where they HAVE displayed a ideology it was hard core Communism!
And they may or may not know that subject extensively.
But what I meant to say is that they have an all too typical lack of knowledge in the areas of history, law, ideology or philosophy.
Other than what you might find in a little red book or a Manifesto.
Absolutely. I don’t want her to go any further in that direction than Mitch Daniels. Mitt is out of the question.
I’ll go with her apparent unfamiliarity with the Bush Doctrine with Charlie Gibson, for starters. That said, I’m enthusiastic about her running...I *want* to to get into the game, because I understand that not knowing everything doesn’t make you a bad presidential candidate.
I’m hoping a few years in the oven has tempered her to more gracefully deal with a hostile interview, because like it or not, she’ll have many before the primaries are even over.
While being able to turn an unkind question with the easy humor and quick wit Ronald Reagan did may be a rare gift, she’ll need just that moxie to overcome a media that’s hugely predisposed against her.
As a VP candidate, she wasn’t quite there yet. Loved her personally, would have voted McCain just for her, but I also understood why people who don’t believe as most of us do would be turned off by her.
Change it back!!
WooHoo! I hope she comes close to where we will be. Mentioned that she will visit Antietam, Gettysburg, DC (of course). Gotta check a map for the most likely routes.

That was an editing hack job and Krauthamer (not exactly Palin's biggest fan) defended her on this one. Palin asked for clarification because there were several different definitions of "Bush doctrine" over time, and so she pressed Gibson on which definition he was referring to.
The Couric and Gibson interviews should be exhibits A and B why Palin should insist on live interviews only.
I hear you. I have no use for Romney myself. If I were filming a movie, and needed central casting to get me ‘a U.S. President’, then sure. Otherwise, the guy is the quintessential ‘empty suit’. I know Palin will bring in money hand over fist, but to Romney’s credit, that fool brings it in by the truckload.
Politics is politics, so I don’t want to get too excited. What I consider a dream team (Palin / West, Palin / Bolton, etc) probably won’t fly outside of Free Republic. I’ll go door to door for either of those tickets, and I’ve never been publicly active like that before
Daniels is out for the count. T-Paw is a nice guy, and he’s going to finish last. She doesn’t need either.
Palin needs a solid, grounded, vetted, interesting-without-being-radioactive-controversial, and able VP. I’m somewhat resigned to her picking some level of popular RINO to help defuse her own vulnerabilities with the middle. If 4 years of another GHWB is the price to get 8 years of another Reagan, then so be it.

The “Bush Doctrine” term was rarely in usage, never called that by W himself, and was mostly used by the left to disparage Bush’s “cowboy mentality”. I’d bet that less than 1% of Americans, and maybe 5% of Congressmen could have defined this term. It’s grasping at straws. Bob

Yes, sir, and I'm one of them. I have no doubt she'll crush the opposition at the primaries, which is why I'm wondering who her VP pick will be. I'm a proud Palinista, but I'm under no illusions as to how she's portrayed in many parts of the country. If she needs a less than rock ribbed VP to provide cover for her to get into office and dethrone King Ubama, then that ain't a bad deal.
Of course, if she doubles down, and goes for the Palin / West ticket, then this could be a very, very interesting 16 years ahead of us. ;-) I don't even want to get my hopes up for something that good.
