NEW YORK – Ridiculous or ultra-enlightened? A Toronto couple's decision to keep the gender of their 4-month-old baby a secret has touched off a sometimes nasty debate over how far parents should go in protecting young ones from society's boy-girl biases.
Kathy Witterick and David Stocker recently landed on the front page of the Toronto Star, explaining that they hope their third child, Storm, can remain untouched by the connotations of pink versus blue, male versus female, long enough to make up his or her own mind.
The decision has online haters and supporters of the family on hyperdrive. Child development experts, meanwhile, question the impact on the cherubic infant later in life and whether the couple has gone too far in their quest for gender neutrality.

Odds are, once the kid begins to play everyone will know if it’s a boy or a girl. Boys play in a certain way, girls another. The Feminists found that out, to their chagrin.
Nature can be delayed, but not stopped without serious damge.
This is child abuse wrapped up in lame political grandstanding.
One can only deny or ignore reality for just so long, sooner or later it will bite you in the butt! It will be close, nipping at your ankles every step you take in your denial, before it does.
Who will protect society from abusive parents like these?
There are times when the state should remove a child from the parents.
Fortunately, those times are rare.
However, this is one of those times.
Get that poor baby out of the hands of these cretins...and then we can send them to the West Wing where they will blend right in.
A child’s removal from parents should be rare. It should be for cases of physical or sexual abuse. If you start removing children because the parents are weirdos and the kids are going to be screwed up, you won’t have enough normal families to foster them. In fact, there aren’t enough normal families now to foster all the children that are unnecessarily placed in the system. What do you get then? Poorly vetted homes and almost a guarantee that these children will be physically or sexually abused in the system.
These parents obviously love their children and think they are doing what is best for them. The children will be messed up but they aren’t being abused (so far as we can tell from the article). They are being taught the mixed up liberal values of their parents.

Homosexuallity is not a matter of choice. It is genetic.
These parents are pathetic. There was a story a few years back about a baby boy whose penis was severed in a botched (allegedly) circumcision. Personally, I think the parents and doctor were complicit in a purposeful act of gender manipulatiion.
In any case, the birth boy was treated as a female thereafter. I’m sure it dismayed the sicko parents, when the adult “daughter” switched back to being a male. He even married. Lesson: Removing the penis and gender indoctrination will not produce a female. It’s all in the genes.
Of course, human sexuality is complex—running the gamut from pure hetero to pure homo with all sorts of in-between variations.
Toronto his a good place for them.

No one can be this stupid.
Wrong. No one, not even homosexual scientists looking for it, has found any genetic or biological cause of homosexuality. The very fact that there are countless numbers of former homosexuals is proof as well.
