Sarah Palin bus tour starts: No bus, but there are motorcycles!!

Sarah Palin's much-publicized "One Nation" bus tour got off to a chaotic and rumbling start Sunday in Washington, with no bus in sight and the potential presidential candidate only occasionally popping into view.

The former Alaska governor, who has indicated she is still contemplating a run for the White House in 2012, showed up at a motorcycle rally at the Pentagon, clad in black leather, a black helmet and sunglasses, riding on the back of a motorcycle driven by an unidentified woman.

Fox News, with whom Palin has a contract for political commentary, said Palin attended the rally with her husband, Todd, and some of their children.

Asked by those in the crowd whether she would run for president, Palin replied, "I don't know yet," Fox said.

Amid the rumble of motorcycles, Palin was asked whether all of her tour events would be that loud. "Oh, it would be a blast if they were this loud, if they smelled this good," Palin declared. "I love that smell of the emissions!"

Once back as a passenger on one of the bikes, Palin traveled with other riders to the Vietnam memorial on the National Mall, and later was seen riding down an adjacent street, waving to the crowd from her perch.

The bus tour has been a staple of presidential campaigns, but Palin's effort was as much a mystery as her future political plans. Tours are usually highly choreographed to present the candidate making multiple speeches in front of rapturous crowds, as a sort of rolling campaign commercial.

In Palin's case, however, there was no indication where she would appear next or whether she would even speak publicly.

Last week's announcement of the tour, which Palin said on her website was meant to start the "fundamental restoration of America,"

not when their intentions are anything but honorable.

if she doesn’t have a security team, she needs one.

i’d be shocked if the person driving the bike wasn’t security.

If reports of the "unidentified woman" are accurate, you might be shocked

trust me 300k bikers most of whom like Sarah is the best kind of security... also I would make book that over half of them were packing.
No one does anything violent at these things... if they do they end up curb stomped

“not when their intentions are anything but honorable.

I respectfully disagree, not in that crowd.

Wasn't that "unidentified woman" reported elsewhere as Willow Palin?

Her daughter Willow I believe was the operator of the bike she was on, Piper rode with her husband Todd, and Bristol rode with someone else. I do not believe there was any security there and I don’t believe it was necessary. Anyone who messed with Sarah there in an unfriendly manner wouldn’t have lasted long.

they only need to get off one shot

the people need to understand this.

the progressives have been driving up the frenzy hoping for some freak to pop out of the woodwork. he/she won’t care about what happens to them. they’d be a zealot doing it ‘for the greater good’ or some such crap.

ask newt if a crazy nutjob can get close enough to shower him with confetti. answer... already has (2 weeks ago).

what if that was a test run... for another target

you need to war game these things to anticipate how to defend

you do make a valid point.
Now my thoughts on this...
How well do you think a security squad would have gone over in this crowd?

Do you think some liberal commie P.O.S. wouldn’t stand out like a 2 bit prostitute at a black tie dinner?
These men smell trouble, the majority of them are combat vets... do you honestly think that some jackwagon would even clear leather before he was resolutely pounded into so much hamburger?

What you need to understand is that in the “biker” community they can smell a poser and that anyone in this community will not break the unspoken truce that occurs at these events.
Still due caution must be maintained. You can bet that there were several self appointed bodyguards around her at all times.

The thing I like about Mrs. Palin is that she is approachable and does not distance herself from “the common people” like almost ALL politicians.

Could that lead to trouble? yes. Does it make here more human than any other candidate? YOU BETCHA!

LOL! The Wee-wee and Pee-Wee! I think “Big Adventure” was Pee-Wee’s best movie. (Except for “Buffy the Vampire Slayer...)

I watched this happen with Reagan and I promise you it will happen with Palin. The media attacked Reagan for years... leading up to his challenge of catah. The left and the media called him a reckless cowboy... a stump dumb GRADE B ACTOR... the la slimes said that the republicans should have run Bonzo instead of Reagan (a reference to one of Reagan's movies "Bedtime for Bonzo"... Bonzo was a chimp).

The dims had attacked Reagan for the entire time that he served as Governor... many repubic party hacks will tell you that Reagan was a strong candidate for President from his years as Governor... well he was a great Governor but the left in California had damaged Reagan's image... as they have practiced that form of "politics of personal destruction" for many years. grace slick of the Jefferson Airplane called him Ronald RAYGUNZAP. Others called him much worse... claimed he was a loose cannon... he was a dangerous man... far too dangerous to have his hands on the Nuclear Codes (FU billy kristol... your attack on Palin is not even original). He was just not smart enough to govern America... his thinking was shallow and he had the mind of a simple man. Of course these were all lies and the truth resided at the other end of the spectrum. BTW... krauthammer was writing speeches during this time that attacked and beat down on Reagan. Remember that when you hear him attack Palin!

In the end... after his death... even the most putrid of Reagan's enemies had to admit that the man was brilliant and his death was honored by every single wretched demon that ever attacked him politically... because they knew that America knew that Reagan was one of our greatest Presidents... and they could not survive politically if they tried to state otherwise. They still hate him today... hell hildebeast and 'toon fell asleep during his funeral... but they had their evil asses front and center for the cameras.

The more the media attacked Reagan... the more people paid attention to what Reagan was saying... all people are curious... and the more they listened to Reagan... the more he talked about his vision for America... that "Shining City on Hill". Reagan talked about reversing the damage done by the dims and their socialist agenda... he talked about restoring America's greatness and also talked about purging the "moderates" from the republican party... about it being insanity to hand them the strings of power after fighting for Conservative ideas. He defeated the moderates at CPAC with his "I PAID FOR THIS MICROPHONE" remark. What Reagan was saying was starting to make sense to America... he was "ONE OF US"... then came their respect, admiration and then adoration.

Reagan owned the debates... he made GHWB look like the dumb a$$ed libtard that we all know and despise today... remember... it was NOT fat teddy kennedy that coined the phrase "Voodoo Economics"... it was that One World Order socialist husband of barbara Bush... the lady that told Palin to "Stay in Alaska"... it was GHWB that coined that phrase.

GHWB was one of Reagan's mistakes... every human makes mistakes... Reagan made far fewer than any of the other Presidents in my lifetime... but Bush was a doozy of a mistake and history has proved my point on GHWB... second father to the bent one. If it were not for GHWB... I doubt clinton would have even been a blip on the radar screen... much less been elected President... if only Reagan had chosen another rock solid conservative as his running mate. Gore would never have attained a national identity.

Reagan talked over the media... manipulated the media... succeeded in spite of the media... and Palin did that this weekend with the brilliant way that she handled the press and her support for Rolling Thunder.

I am not saying that Palin is Reagan... I am saying that she is Palin... she studied Reagan... she knows the man and his ideas and she has learned from his mistakes and a few of her own. She will be the next President of the United States. I knew that about Reagan too... I worked for his campaign in my State... twice... and I am ready to serve in the same capacity for Palin... if she needs me... and I intend to serve her campaign for both of her Presidential terms.

LLS
