Iowa-Bound Palin: Republican Presidential Field Will Change
CNN ^ | Monday, May 30, 2011 | Peter Hamby

Sarah Palin told CNN on Monday that she plans to take her "One Nation" bus tour to Iowa, the state that votes first in the race for the Republican presidential nomination.

"I'm sure at some point I will be going to Iowa," Palin said during a visit to Fort McHenry in Baltimore. "At some point."

The comments come on the heels of a RealClearPolitics website story that said Palin is planning a visit to Iowa in June, the same month a documentary about her rise to power is set to debut in the Hawkeye State.

The trip would be Palin's first visit to Iowa since December, when she stopped there during a book tour. She also addressed a fund-raising dinner for the Iowa Republican Party last September.

Palin and her family were mobbed by television cameras after her arrival at Fort McHenry, the fort that famously defended Baltimore from a British assault during the War of 1812. The battle served as the inspiration for the national anthem, Francis Scott Key's "Star Spangled Banner."

Asked about her 2012 thinking, Palin said her family's concerns come first. But she also said the unsettled nature of the Republican presidential field has left the door open for other candidates, herself included, to join the nomination fight.

What a fine thing, Sarah Palin directing all the attention toward those things liberals despise the most: Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for starters. In this particular instance, our National Athem and what is its foundation. The MSM wants to make this all about Palin. Palin wants to make it all about our Country and the People who make it work.

"Republican Presidential Field Will Change"

When Palin announces things will certainly get shaken up! Liberals will be shivering in their boots.

Romney et al have a real problem. Sarah is the kingmaker whether she runs and wins, runs and loses, or doesn’t run at all. If they attack her, they risk losing her imprimatur. If the don’t attack her, she’s going to kick their ass. Heck, she’s going to do that anyway.

Brilliant move as to Iowa, in one fell swoop, coinciding her visit with the film release, she will gin up intense interest in both. She must be driving the highly paid “how to run a campaign” gurus inside the beltway absolutely insane.

And all the while, she has the media dancing to her tune.

romney has a bigger problem. he has already attacked he rofr the last two years. He failed to drive her off the stage. he can’t ever win her supporters. his strategy was bad form the start. He should hav eembraced Palin and simply hoped she fizzled out after the election. Instead the Mittbuttboys went on operation destroy palin. Mitt is a cuss word with her supporters.

Oddly, Donna Brazile seems to be the only one who will state publicly that she doesn't have to have the same type of organization that is necessary for the Pawlentys and Romneys of the world.

Some of the Democrats are very good at politics (probably more on average than in the GOP), and Brazile is one of them.

Oh please, and Brazile is one of them. Ms "Earth Tones" herself??? This broad is nothing more than a nasty old hag who would rather drop the race card than debate anything on it's merits.

Famous Donna Brazile quote from when she was Gore's campaign manager/brain trust..”We're not gonna let the white boys win.”

I believe the Al Gore-Earth Tones thing was Naomi Wolf—some skank who looks like Monica Lewinsky at 50. Donna Brazille is a loud mouthed negro who appears on teevee.

“some skank who looks like Monica Lewinsky at 50.”

Now that’s just wrong. I am going to have nightmares now.
