Write-off Christie!? GOP Gov. Chris Christie now a warmist!
The Climate Depot ^ | 5-31-11 | Marc Morano - Climate Depot

Posted on 05/31/2011 1:05:02 PM PDT by bigbob

Climate Depot's Morano on Christie: 'His straight-shooting image has been shattered by his recent calculated and really bad climate claims'

Morano: 'Christie did not respond to multiple meeting offerings from top scientists in New Jersey, but meets with a collection of alarmist scientists. He is following in the misguided footsteps of George W. Bush on climate. Christie is attempting to pursue the discredited strategy of accepting the alleged science of anthropogenic AGW while rejecting so called solutions'

I can't vouch for this guys credentials, but he seems to be solid on climate change nonsense, and has been taking Gov. Christie to task for his fence-riding, and for relying on Rutgers professors for information. Check the links at this site for sources and more info.

Of course the CO2 level has increased a bit over the past 100 years since we've started burning oil, coal, and natural gas. The key question is: "So What"? What effect will the CO2 have, and will it be good or bad for humanity? Since scientists can't agree on an answer to this question it seems unwise to base public policy on speculation.

Chris Christy has a big mouth, and that’s fine. He takes it to them. But, he’s still a rino. Beware CC fans, he’s NOT the real deal.

Subtle as a hand grenade! I like it.

Wonder why it is that a lot of “us” - (conservatives and some FReepers too) tend to fall for these guys who seem to act the part and say the right things at times, yet flip-flop and cozy right up to the elites and insiders - - yet reject and make fun of Sarah Palin, who is the real deal, through and through?

RINO? I doubt any RINO would be taking on the unions and cutting the size of government. As far a being a fiscal conservative, I have seen no one any better. I don’t know anything about his gun stance or his social conservative views, but he is about as good a fiscal conservative as you will find.

I suppose he ‘appears’ conservative for MA standards. So did Scott Brown. In our neck of the woods they’d be a hold your nose candidate. Christy will be the WORST GOP nomination, other than perhaps Rudy, if he got in. Worse than McCain. He’s right up there with Romney. MA thinks anyone with a “R” behind their name is an ultra right-wing conservative. Us here in flyover country just LOL.

As in the case of McCain there were few options, this time I count at least two maybe three that I trust: Palin, Cain, and Bachman. But now the question might be: Will they cancel each other out?

He is taking on the unions, but evaluate the rest of his history. Like guns? He doesn’t. Like deportation of illegals, He doesn’t. Just because he talks big on unions doesn’t make him conservative. Research his record. He has ONE issue conservatives agree on, unions. And, he isn’t afraid to take it to them on this ONE issue. The rest is all squishy. Please, look into this guy. He’s not what conservatives are looking for.

I have not looked at him that closely on non-fiscal issues since he is not running, but I would not call him a RINO as far as fiscal conservatism is concerned. He is cutting the size of government and he is taking on the unions. If that is a RINO, I will take that kind of RINO every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

I don't buy the article that is attached. I looked at it and there is not much in it to support his argument. He is going to have to do better than that to show he believes in global warming.

As far as guns, I would not be surprised if he is anti-gun, and that could be a deal killer for me. However, my number 1 issue is fiscal conservatism—smaller government and lower taxes, and he is solid on that as far as I can see.

Christie seemed to have promise.

But no more. I do not trust anyone who still promotes this nonsense. Even IF the Climate Alarmist’s nightmare fantasy is correct, we cannot afford the destruction of all the economies of the world and the human suffering caused by a total collapse and losing all our freedoms to government:

New calculations applied to a U.S. Senate report reveal the Environmental Protection Agency's plan to combat global warming through regulation of greenhouse gases would theoretically take over $700 trillion, seven times the world's gross production, to drop the earth's temperature only 1 degree Celsius.
The report released last year by Sen. James Ihnofe, R-Okla., then-ranking minority member of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works, quotes the EPA’s own stats and experts to break down the numbers, including one researcher who called the Obama administration's plan “absurd.”

“I doubt any RINO would be taking on the unions and cutting the size of government. “

What?
Across the river, the scion of the New York State Democrat Machinery , Governor Andrew Cuomo, took on the unions and cut the size of government.

Get with it.

Christie is screwing over the small and midsize businesspeople in NJ who put him over the top against Corzine by following this AGW scam .

Very problematic, I can see Christie running for President after he realizes his internal polling shows he has no chance of reelection as Gov in NJ. Peter Principle his way into the VP slot on a RINO ticket.
