Man in uniform at school event was not in Navy, officials say

A man who appeared in a Navy SEAL uniform at a Thousand Oaks school event this week apparently never served in the Navy, military officials said Wednesday.

Salhem Dreasden was among those in uniform Tuesday at a tribute to soldiers at Ladera School. The school was honored at the event for outstanding patriotism and support of the armed forces.

Dreasden was wearing a Navy uniform that bore his last name, the words "SEAL TEAM," the trident pin insignia of the elite unit and twin bars indicating the rank of Navy lieutenant.

The name Salhem Dreasden, however, does not appear anywhere in databases of Navy service members that go back to at least the Vietnam War, said Katie Suich, a spokeswoman for the Navy Personnel Command in Tennessee. There aren't any S. Dreasdens in the database, either, she said.

Federal law prohibits the unauthorized wearing of a U.S. military uniform

Impersonating a military member, especially an officer, is a criminal offense and this scumbag needs to be prosecuted.

But that the 9th Circuit Court recently found this to be a violation of a faker´s 1st Amendment rights.

Reminds me of a BOLO I saw at an Arkansas gun show for the "Fake Army Captain Clark". Apparently he spent some time in the pookie and is a convicted felon that dresses up as an Army Captain and shows up at gun shows spouting about how many Al-Queda he has killed in hand to hand combat.

Fake Army Captain Clark (felon) shows up at gun shows

You can see that he is obviously obese, in addtion to completing his SF school, having his "Q" tab, fought with SF, A ranger tab, sapper tab, a master paratrooper (with gold star) , a sniper (officers don't wear it, enlisted don't show it), air assault, CIB, and some sort of badge (It doesnt look anything like my B&Cs I got after 35E school),

I don’t know, I made CPT in 1984 and I looked pretty damn young then, even at 26! I have pictures to prove it, I looked like a kid! LOL

Right. They had the Stolen Valor Act for maybe 4 years, but just 6 months ago I think it was overturned by the Supreme Court and LEGALLY speaking now any insane POS can drag his sorry a$$ around in whatever GI Joe/Sgt. Rock/He Man outfit that pleases him, I think.

First Sgt in the USAF is a position, not a rank. Anyone above the grade of E-7 can be a unit First Sergeant. The diamond shaped device in the chevrons designates a First Sergeant.

That fairy salute and baby fat should have been the dead giveaway. Maybe that’s what got people checking.

I was thinking the same thing. Another military wannabe. The goofy salute was the first thing that caught my attention. The guy’s pretty chubby for a Seal—or any special ops person.

BTW, and I’ve been out of the Navy for awhile, I don’t think that’s a Navy uniform. I’m not sure where he got that. I imagine that a real officer would wear either khakis of dress blues to such an event.

I didn’t know Navy Seals went around advertising they were Navy Seals. Where did this guy get this shirt?

A google search renders these findings, all with the same profile photo:
David Topps. Musician in Northridge CA.
Chris from Nebraska, 27 yr old.
Mike Siggs, age 31.

Typical underachiever syndrome. I see it every day. Fat f***s, nerdy kids, and chickensh*ts with stories to tell and false claims of medals and service. It should be a UCMJ Article that any veteran can beatdown such a person.

Those look like coveralls to me. And yeah you don’t wear them out. It’s a working uniform.

The USAF has no FIRST SERGEANT enlisted rank.

They do have E-7 through E-9 that are designated as First Sgts though.
