Onyx, as much as I love Sarah, I don’t think that her cause benefits from trashing other members. To me, Romney is a Punk lite without the Communist, racist and terrorist connections. I will be positively sick if Romney is the GOP standard-bearer, but for me, under NO circumstances may this Marxist demon remain in the White House for one extra day.
As for those Freepers who favor lesser lights right now, I figure that they’ll come around eventually. Give them time, and don’t piss them off in the meantime. We’ll need them all! Bob
In other words, Bachmann has no executive experience, which is what I said. If you do not recognize Palin's remark as a shot at a candidate for President, you are naive.
Hammer..Nail...Head!
Outstanding Post GirlFRiend!
Hi Bob,
I don't see or know where I was trashing other members? Perhaps you can tell me? I merely told one member that s/he was one of the few here who would vote for Romney were he the GOP nominee, and that s/he suffered from PDS, which the member's posting history proves.
Perhaps you've missed Jim's posts regarding Romney. There's several, but here's one that I see he's posted recently.
I'm not a public figure, sweetheart. Kind of a different issue.
it wouldn't hurt you to read a little before spouting off.
Calm down, dear. I was merely responding to another poster.
Backman(sp) is totally out of line here since she is responsible for what her people say about other candidates.
I would agree with that. Whether she is out of line remains to be seen as we don't yet know what her reaction is going to be.
I’ll go one further....Why...after all of these years in the desert, do we suddenly have so many ‘conservatives’ in the race or talking about getting in the race? Who is the grand daddy poomaster orchestrating such a sudden influx? Where are they getting the money? The establishment and rino GOP? Romney?
I am probably way out on a limb here, but something doesn’t add up. I am grateful that so many conservatives are ready to stand up to the scrutiny of running for the highest office in the land(don’t get me wrong) and I am certain that some of them have the highest ethical reasons for entering(or talking about entering), but with so many in the primary..we are certain to get Romney and I can imagine some GOP Rovian Romney types just snickering in the shadows.
Those that really want to save this country, will go about the sincere and earnest business of getting behind Sarah if she decides to run. They might even want to start writing these other conservative runners and advising them to bow out before the primaries. We FReepers might even want to start a petition to send them should Sarah get in.
Just a thought.
PS, not being a public figure doesn't exempt you from telling the truth and not slandering people.
Sarah DID NOT bad mouth Bachman, on the other hand Bachman's representative did bad mouth Sarah. Don't call me dear, I am not your friend and doubt I ever could be.
I copied/pasted another poster's comment. If that's "posting a lie" then your outright fabrication is a real whopper!.
and commented on it.
Yes, I commented on another poster's post. That's kinda what we do here on FR.
At least now you have admitted (however awkwardly) that I wasn't quoting Sarah.
Have a nice day.
I’m thinking that if Sarah hired Andrew Breitbart and Tammy Bruce as spokes-”people”, all other candidates might as well just take their dollies and go home. Sarah will find people who are relevant, bright, and fearless. Rollins... sheesh!
See my reply #242.
Hey Onyx! I think it was the labeling of his ostensibly “pro-life” Romney as an “abortionist pig”. I don’t trust him, but I believe that such labels make supporters of Romney defensive. That’s all. Blessings, Bob
The GOP-E and their Beltway punditry have feared Sarah Palin all along and have ran a STOP PALIN CAMPAIGN ON MANY LEVELS FOR OVER 2 YEARS.
Rove/Gillepie/Bush all started their own political group: “American Crossroads” to pick their own candidate, but his wife ruined it for them: Mrs. Mitch Daniels, so now it looks like they might be stuck with Romney unless they can talk Rick Perry into running.
Also, the Beltway snobs, Krauthammer, Kristol & Panel Friends still hold out hope for RINO Chris Christie to swoop-in to save the day.
Also Paul Ryan which would be a colossal and fatal mistake.
The day Ryan jumps in, election 2012 becomes about RYAN & HIS BUDGET, *not* about Obama’s indefensible record.
These damn people need to leave Sarah Palin alone.
These damn people speak only for themselves and their tired, old self-preservation interests.
OUR REPUBLIC NEEDS SAVING!
SARAH PALIN HAS EVERY RIGHT TO RUN.
IF SHE WINS THE NOMINATION, THEN THEY NEED TO SUPPORT HER AND STHU ABOUT THE NEGATIVES THEY *THINK* SHE HAS.
SARAH PALIN is the girl-next-door, AMERICAN PARIOT, who trusts in God and knows that in order to restore our Republic, that God must be brought back into our public square.
OUR INALIENABLE RIGHTS COME FROM OUR CREATOR, *NOT* FROM GOVERNMENT.
GO SARAH!
“Bachman is our tea party favorite of all announced so far.”
Who made you leader of the Tea Party? I certainly didn’t vote in that election....lol. Bachman jumped on the Tea Party train...not the other way around. She is certainly no more articulate that Palin. You sound like an elitist snob.
You ran with the lie that was purported to be a Palin quote. Just ate it up and passed judgment on it.
The truth in not in you. Bye.
Well SAID!
I really like Ryan, but your thoughts on his running are spot on. I think he is a patriot and will not get in the race this time around for the very reasons you brought up. He has said as much. The only way I would vote for Perry in the primary, is if Sarah doesn’t run and I would vote for him over Obama in a New York second. I would probably vote for him over Bachman in the primary now after her little stunt today too(if Sarah doesn’t run).
We poked a little hornets’ nest here today ... hehehe.
Not everyone adores Sarah. They always name call at this stage, then in the end, they’re friendly and often share a ticket. This is normal politics.
