Anthony Weiner’s former girlfriend, Kirsten Powers, defended him on TV to millions of people after he insisted to her that he didn’t send lewd photos on Twitter. Now she takes him to task for his rampant misogyny—and says he must resign immediately.
Anthony Weiner lied to the country about his sexual misconduct online. He also lied to me.
I had been defending him, based on what he told me, but no more. Weiner must resign from Congress immediately.
This has not been my position previously during the scandal, but as I have recovered from the shock of seeing an old friend’s life unravel and have had time to get my mind around the extensive and sociopathic lying in which he engaged, there seems to be no other choice than for him to step aside and stop hurting his family, friends, and the Democratic Party. As more information trickles out about his online behavior with women, it has also become clear that he does not have the character to be in a position of leadership because of his misogynist view of women and predatory behavior.

Good grief! What do these women see in this yapping little twit? It is so obvious that he is just a smart-a$$ punk. That is what I thought of him since the first time I saw him on TV. And the people of NY voted for this creep? Can you people in NY not use any better judgment of character than that? Anybody that voted for this guy is an absolute stooge.
and to all you “i don’t care about his sex life as long as he does his job” types. If he’ll lie to people he loves and has vowed to remain faithful to, imagine what he’ll do to people like you and me, who he never sees or meets, when he thinks you’re not looking!
How can these people say anything especially about lying? They all lie. It’s a part of their life.
You know, when it comes to resigning from congress due to unethical personal behavior, one must always ask where the line is drawn. Is it at one parking ticket, or committing multiple rapes? It is obviously somewhere in between the two.
But my question is this: If this guy did not cross the line yet, where exactly IS it? Does he have to sneak into the oval office and poke his sister? This whole thing is ridiculous. We are supposed to hold these guys to a HIGHER standard than the rest of us, but we seem to be doing the exact opposite. If this continues, the rot of our nation will be complete. Then again, is this ALWAYS the fate of governments created by men - to hit some bottom and rebuild something on top of that? If so, I weep for my children and grand children regarding the world they must endure.
Money. The chance to get inside the world of Washington DC money and power. Their whole world-view system revolves around getting their hands on lots of money; they have ample evidence in their own life experience to believe they can get it by manipulating a man.
Kirsten, it’s not Wiener, it’s liberalism that’s lied to you, and you’re caught up in your liberal fantasy so you can’t see the truth.
Those who favor vile, deviant sexual behavior are acknowledged to be vile according to conserative values.
Those same people are morally acceptable according to liberal values.

Kristin Powers has some explaining to do before anyone trusts her to deliver impartial news on Fox and anywhere else. She seems a bit late to the recognition that Anthony Weiner is a lying pos.
And just how long and how intimate was her relationship with Mr. Weiner, anyway? Was it intimate enough for her to be vulnerable to blackmail threats from the Congressman and his hyperactive x-rated digital camera?
Enquiring minds would like to know.
Kirsten is pretty enough, but my comment wasn’t about her looks. She’s a whiny liberal trying her hardest to appear somewhat moderate.
New York, Massachusetts, Maryland, California ---- it seems hopeless. I believe that eventually Democrat/socialist/liberal policies will collapse these states and probably the nation. And when the people turn to their conservative neighbors (if they can found) to save their states, it will be to late. There will be nothing worth saving. Who would waste time and resources on these states only to have Democrats ruin them again once the stupid populations of these places voted them in again?
