Source: Weiner to Resign by Thursday... Democrat colleagues urging... ‘to preserve his own dignity’

Politisite is hearing  one source close to the Congressman  that  Weiner will resign by the end of the day or early Thursday.

A Marist poll by Weiners own constituents say he should  not resign by a  slim majority.

CNN is reporting that Privately colleagues are recommending that he resign quickly.

It was reported  that Weiners wife, Huma Abedin, is Pregnant adding to the family stress level.  Ironically Huma is with Secretary of State Clinton on Business who can probably help console Adedin during this time.

Democrat colleagues urging Weiner to resign ‘to preserve his own dignity’

A Democratic lawmaker familiar with discussions with and about Anthony Weiner tells CNN that Weiner’s colleagues are telling him this afternoon he should resign “to preserve his own dignity.”

This Democratic congressman says that this afternoon’s public call by Democratic Rep. Allyson Schwartz, D-Pennsylvania, for Weiner to resign is part of a new stepped up effort to force Weiner out. The source said the effort includes private and public calls explicitly telling him it’s time to leave Congress.

“There is increased resentment by his colleagues that far from having a press conference where he was going to tell the truth and roll with the flames, the flames are just getting worse and he’s dragging us through it. We really thought by now, after the press conference, we would be able to talk about the Republicans’ Social Security privatization bill and instead we keep talking about Anthony Weiner. And people are getting angrier and more resentful,” said the Democratic congressman.

The lawmaker would not speak for the record in order to discuss private conversations, and would not give the names of Weiner’s colleagues making these private calls.

If the democrats want him out so badly, then we should want him to stick around. An arrogant, wounded sex pervert would be the ultimate albatross around the democrats’ collective political neck in 2012, and having him still representing his district in 2012 would give us a realistic chance of actually winning the district.

If he resigns now he will 100% guaranteed be replaced by another democrat, an unsullied democrat fresh and ready for a fight, and any references to Weiner’s misdeeds will be seen as mean-spirited.

No, we want him to stick around; we want him wounded, not dead.

If Humus is a Saudi agent, as some suspect, hiding in plain sight, then she might have been ordered to marry the scumbag for the good of the kingdom, as he appeared to be on his way up, way up, even getting a cover story somewhere along the way predicting a POTUS future for his weiner. In the meantime, backstage, Tammy Wynette is warming up as we speak.

On the " ALL STARS , they claimed Weiner wasn't liked before the scandal.

Gee. Imagine that. An arrogant condescending asshole who wasn't liked.

Even by his fellow 'Rats...

“...to preserve his own dignity...”????

WHAT Dignity!?!?

He was waving his wiggins in front of a camera for young girls to (ostensibly) ogle!

He was “Flaunting the Flagpole”!

Or you could say he was “Shaking his Skimpy Shrimpie”!!!

Or “Brandishing the Baloney”!

Or maybe “Putting a Harness on the Helmeted Trouser Trout”!!!

Or, last but not least - “waggling the one-eyed wonder weasel!!!!!”

And ALL on film!!!!!!

He has ZERO dignity left!

Was that mean? Was that harsh? Do I care?

Nah. One less Democrat assh*le is NEVER a bad thing.

Really? Didn't have any effect in the last several election cycles having Barnie Frank around ...

What Weiner did is nothing compared to Ted Kennedy letting a woman die in his car, Kennedy did not resign. He did not resign for 40 years, till death.

What Weiner did is nothing compared to the felonies Bill Clinton committed in an attempt to fix the outcome of a court case in which he was defendant while he was a sitting President, Clinton did not resign.

They both knew Democrat voters would continue to support them no matter what.

Weiner showed his weiner. BIG DEAL! He’s a Democrat! Resign!?

What am I missing here?

Weiner resign? Oh gosh, what are we going to talk about after that?

I don’t relish seeing him go, but, after all, he couldn’t cut the mustard.

Really? Didn't have any effect in the last several election cycles having Barnie Frank around ...

Not a valid comparison. First, just because Frank is a pervert doesn't make him a "pervert" in the eyes of the public. Had Frank been caught in the same position as Weiner and been made the butt of so much humor and criticism, and still prevailed without a hiccup, then you might have a point; as it is, you don't.

Second, Weiner's district is a different demographic than Frank's, and to all accounts they are a lot more dismayed by his bahaviour than Frank's constituents are.

Third, Frank's proclivities are a matter of general knowledge and therefore there is no shock or dismay when those proclivities are revealed. A lot of the reaction to Weiner is as much shock and dismay at the fact that a clean-cut member of the "best and brightest" has such a taste for the sexual gutter.

Finally, I never said having Weiner stick around would make us a shoe-in - this is the Soviet Socialist Republic of New York, after all - however, we would have a much better chance of winning against Weiner than we would against his replacement.

I’m convinced that as soon as the “Sorry Wiener” story hit, they put a pillow under Huma’s dress, and will supply her a “rent-a-baby” in 9 months.....

Ya know...for the MSM cameras.

I am shocked that this weiner fellow supposedly has a shred of dignity...or ever had. Have you followed this political clown’s antics in Congress? What a fool! Mu only hope is that he does not resign. If he does, I hope he gets appointed either as co-Head of the DIMocRAT party or becomes nobama’s co-boy-servant (like reggie bush). What an entertaining oaf.

Rats don’t resign in shame because they have no shame.

I predict Weiner will not only hang in there, but that he will be re-elected by the same scum that has always re-elected him. These are Democrats we’re talking about. When on earth did they ever care about honesty, integrity, and character?

RE :”WHAT Dignity!?!?

I find the whole thing entertaining, the Democrats cant get out their important political message that ‘the Republicans want you unemployed until you retire and then to throw you off a cliff all to line the pockets of rich and corporations’ with this Weiner (great name!) story dominating the news.

MSNBC Ed Schultz Text poll tonight just asked if the scandal makes it harder for Democrats to get their progressive agenda passed.

On the " ALL STARS , they claimed Weiner wasn't liked before the scandal.

That's the rats' story and they're sticking to it. Rather than questioning their judgement in who to vote for in the first place -- which is what a normal person would do.
