Live Thread: Sarah Palin E-Mails Release 1 P.M. EDT 6/10/11
Friday, June 10, 2011 | Kristinn

The mainstream media and their fellow moonbats are in a frenzy today, counting the minutes until the 1 p.m. EDT official release of 24,199 pages of Gov. Palin e-mails.

The Washington Post has set up a Twitter account for the e-mails, PalinEmails.

As noted yesterday, The Washington Post and The New York Times are recruiting help from their readers in reviewing the e-mails for dirt on Palin.

The Los Angeles Times is also setting up a database for the e-mails, which have to be scanned as they are only being released in paper form.

Reporters from the U.S. and around the world are in Juneau awaiting the release.

The Guardian has a live thread by a reporter in Juneau.

Pathetic! What bunch of losers the MSM has become, especially for someone they deem to have no chance of ever becoming President, yet they treat her as the one to beat, maybe they are telling us something! Hmmmm!!!!!

I haven’t been following this very closely so my question is, is this a normal release of information? I mean, is there anything unusual about this (minus the media excitement)? Does Alaska usually release previous Governor’s correspondence, emails, etc, after a certain amount of time? I’m still struggling to figure out what the big deal here is.

I’m sure if there’s so much as a tiny typo or misspelled word they’ll be on it like flies. Naturally, they won’t consider the irony of the fact that on most liberal boards, no one can spell or has the slightest interest in grammar.

Yep, Obama’s media lapdogs are frothing at the mouth, with manic anticipation at what they see as their upcoming gang-rape of Palin. They just can’t wait to get their claws on her. They are too hopped-up on their hatred to realize they are actually in the process of cutting their own throats.

After Weiners x-rated texting this is going to be like the Disney version of electronic mail. To be sure, the haters will try to make something from nothing. But if they do and more Weiner facts are released or some other newsworthy item, they’ll have wasted their time and energy.

They don't have to. The fact that they do, tells it all. They do it because PALIN represents EVERYTHING AGAINST what THEY SUPPORT, which is all the MORE REASON why I support PALIN!

One question I have is how is it that there are copies of all these emails—was she required, as governor, to keep printouts? I delete old emails—there’s no way I have room on my computer for years of old emails.

“””Even money the first one will be where she says that “Obama isn’t eligible to be president. I told that to that dumbass McCain, and they told me to just shut up.”

And the downside of that is what? Forget the citizenship issue. His two-year record of incompetence would prove it.

I gotta think this could have a huge up-side. Which is to prove she’s a normal person. Some personal remarks. A few snide remarks. A huge flash of humor. And mostly her work.

Just like the rest of us.

No media bias, huh?

Come on - they did the same thing with Clinton and Obama... and John Edwards... /s

Lookin' under every rock for dirt on dems...

Oh wait - my mistake - they didn't 'uncover' the Edwards story until a tabloid shoved it in their face. They NEVER uncovered the Clinton rape story - even when the FBI said the woman was credible... You're right, therightliveswithus - no media bias...

Because there are no governors like Sarah Palin.

I can’t put my finger on the answer you’re seeking, but that woman is something special and even her enemies know it. Otherwise, why is she a bigger star than Angelina?

Where were all these investigations and reviewings when Obama was running for President?

Not to mention all the other politicians out there. Imagine if they’d combed through Weiners emails, for instance....

Sarah isn’t even running....it’s hilarious how much in a dither these tools are over her.

I think there should Congressional Investigation. I think Darrell Issa should investigate this. This is a complete invasion of privacy.

I’m waiting for their encouragement of the release of the Obama emails, and for people to comb through them to find something to “investigate”.

Ok... this is getting ridiculous. It’s bad enough that the country’s most prominent newspapers are begging for activists to sort through these emails to find any possible “dirt” (what ever happened to the newspapers actually being able to do their own research?), but must we allow ourselves to be ragged down to this level with the whole “live thread” thing?

They're being released pursuant to an FOIA request (or whatever the state equivalent is).

When I first caught wind of this ‘story’ a few days ago, I had no idea except the obvious one, of what this was about>
Now it looks like the obvious one, the potential for criminalizing normal political discourse and communication, might be all there is behind it. BUT on what legal basis is this even possible, the requisitioning of years of emails?
On whose authority, and to prove WHAT???
