Sounds like a good arrangement. I saw lots of independent contractors on a big job in San Diego. The startup folded and left most of them holding the bag. Many of the new recruits had their furniture on moving trucks and their families in cars driving to San Diego to start their new jobs. Many had also purchased homes in San Diego. Really risky behavior with a startup. I wish you much success in your new endeavors.
