We spent the money from our best earning years on raising your generation. SS and Medicare were included as part of our planning for retirement. It was not until about a decade ago when they started moving goal posts and pulling rugs out.

Gen X has to realize that this time it will be the boomers who come “home” to live with the Gen X’ers in their homes. Without the ability to live independently, Gramma and Grandpa will be living with you.

There are very few people in the boomer generation who deserve credit for doing any favors to Generation X. The rest of the boomers did everything they could to tear down this country. Things like free love, denigration of our military, rampant de-Christianization and the other staples of what the boomers are known for screwed this country over and above any "benefit" that they possibly had given to the rest of us. Resisting the needed changes (and reductions of) the massive entitlement state is just the icing on that cake.

Without the ability to live independently, Gramma and Grandpa will be living with you.

Most of us would have no problems offering a space at the table and a warm bed for our elderly parents who actually did sacrifice for us in our youth. It is being expected to support the rest of you that we cannot do.

But here's the kicker... even if the boomers are successful in imposing ridiculously high tax rates on the younger set to pay for their entitlements, most of us will just respond by working less, just like anyone else who is expected to hand over his hard-earned wages to the government.

Ok, I guess it's everyone for themselves now with each of us brimming with self-righteous certitude and pointing the finger of blame at everyone who paid into a system administrated by a mob of Bernie Madoffs who bought votes and elections with their deliberate subtrafuge!!!

If anybody cries foul, it just "suffer baby"! You elected people who you trusted to "make your bed" and now you're gonna beforced to forget your bed... What's up with that???

Everyone agrees it was all a big socialist mistake but what are we supposed to do now? Just move out into the damned street and form packs of graying wolves looting like we were ghetto dwellers or illegal aliens, or what???

This whole ponzi scheme is evil, all together evil.

The demographic implosion is half the story, the other half is the implosion of the US dollar, that is losing value and will continue to lose value, as The FED ‘prints’ the dollar into oblivion.

There are many other factors, but those two together are the major reasons for the collapse of this ponzi scheme put in place by the DEMS. Both the FED and Medicare.

And those same fascist fools are just hoping that DeathCare will hide their incompetence.

We need to phase out these entitlements. But most people (and sadly, many here), don't want to do that, even if any proposed changes (such as the Ryan plan) would have no impact on them at all.
