Actually that goes for the rest of them too..........we need a Sarah Palin in this race.
Accept no substitute.
The only people who did not impress me in the debate were Pawlenty and Romney. I don’t like Paul, but for the most part he handled himself well tonight. But I wouldn’t vote for him.
If only...
Bill O’Reilly seems to be very concerned about helping Mr. Pawlenty find his mojo.
Anyone have a link to the debates? I can’t find it on Youtube.
Palin and/or Perry would sweep this field.
IMHO
Mittens was ready to turn Afghanistan over to the Taliban military. Slip or not. Maybe it was too many hair products. Both he and Pawlenty were weak. Paul’s an idiot but he was in one of his more sane modes. Newt did fine. Wasn’t impressed with Bachmann. Santorum was middle of the road. Cain did well and was impressed that Newt and a couple of the others had his back. CNN and host John King were pitiful.
the last Presidential candidate that won who was kinda bland was H.W. Bush but he with the help of adviser Lee Atwater and riding on the tails on Reagan ran hard to the right and was probably at his best of his political career in those 9 months leading up to election day...charisma does matter because Pawlenty might say all of the right words but if people forget what he said because he acts so bland then he will miss out in a crowded field
I don’t know. If it came down to Romney or Obama, I have to go with Romney. Hoping it is not the case though.
I think it would be the height of stupidity to use a forum designed by CNN and John King to discredit conservatism as a measure of who might be the most successful and effective conservative nominee for President.
He’s not running.
We will have to choose a nominee from among those who decide to run now.
agree CNN and king were awful.
No clear winner.
From left to right (order on stage)
Rick Santorum:
He did well. Probably helped himself some.
Michele Bachmann:
She did ok. I wasn't that impressed. I was hoping for more, although it seemed she didn't get as many opportunities to speak. Probably just me.
Newt:
I think he came across “angry”. He seemed like a grouchy old man tonight. A short answer type forum is not well suited to Newt. He had to keep correcting John King about mischarachterizing his positions.
Mitt Romney:
I thought he did poorly. He came across as your typical used car salesman I mean politician. Canned answers, phony praise for the vets, cheap sports team plugs. He looked & acted like a game show host, not presidential.
Ron Paul:
What can I say? The old coot, lost most people with his answers. Who let him out of the attic? Has no chance what so ever at becoming president, NONE!
Tim Pawlenty:
He did well. He was the same exact guy that was on Fox News Sunday. Cool under fire. Direct answers. I think he helped himself tonight.
Herman Cain:
He did ok. While he came across well, and had no gaffs, I think his inexperience and lack of foreign policy knowledge showed through. He is a one trick pony. He's a business man. Yes, the economy is important, but this is a complicated and dangerous world. Ask George W Bush.
Picture a Sarah or Perry up there...I think there’d have been a little more fightin’...
I loved it when Michele said EPA had to go...after that she had my vote. Cain and Santorum close seconds.
Romney and his mini-me TPaw came in last...
