Newt's one-man RLC show
Politico ^ | 06/16/11 | JONATHAN MARTIN

No longer constrained by campaign advisers who insisted on such conventions as “message discipline,” Gingrich fulminated against President Obama, the news media, activist judges and assorted other liberal bogeymen for 41 minutes here Thursday night.

It was classic Newt – slashing attacks, an array of ideas, and a few plugs for his website. All jumbled together with little cohesion.

The former speaker, it seems, is very much enjoying the post-consultant phase of his candidacy.

Does RLC stand for Republican Lite Club?

How many 2012 candidates have made TV ads with Nancy Pelosi for Al Gore’s global warming ad campaign? I can only think of one.

FWIW, here’s what the New Orleans newspaper had to say about Noot. BTW, I’m committed to Palin, too. The email thing last week iced it for me.

Hey, Great, snide, subjective one-liner badmouthing of GOP candidates just to support your guy. The essence of Good Freeper Behavior. / sarc

C'mon, give us more Newt positives and put down the punching bag against other conservatives in the race.

LMBO! That’s great!

Newt is past his sell-by date. And I’m sitting in his GA 6th, voted for him when he was my Congressman, and I know a lot of active Republicans in the area who agree. Needs to be a policy wonk in the next Administration starting 2013, he isn’t the next President.

Thank you for the rundown Newt, err, jageorge72! As Newt was pining on the couch with Ms. Pelosi complaining about global warming, I found it quite necessary to hurl...large chuncks! Newt just being Newt, I guesssssss......

Newt is toast and he knows it, you should know it and most here know it!

Newt has spent the last many years building a grass roots organization. It is rather impressive. It has a branch in my town of 15,000 that has already been successful at the city level.

Well he took time out to forcefully endorse an R who was a liberal from the get go. ACTIONS speak louder than words. I'll never forget the hand he played in that election. He seems to have a fetish for very liberal woman. He can go scratch his fleas.

Newt...Is that you?

Finally. Somebody asked the question I had while reading this dumb thread. We have a Newt troll here, who's drunk the koolaid. He's so in love with Newt, that it makes me believe it really is Newt. After all, he doesn't have a campaign staff, rambles on with little coherence, why not get on this forum and stir things up?

Oh, and my candidate hasn't been chosen yet. Too early. But I'm really watching Palin, Cain and Bachmann very closely. No one else need apply. Especially Newt.

He is nothing but an LIBERAL blue blood elite, fat a$$ed playboy... corrupt and gluttonous... wasteful... while America suffers in the GREATEST DEPRESSION... it is half a mil in baubles for his third wife... jetting around in his custom Lear Jet... sailing the Greek Isles while his campaign implodes... he was a jerk for calling Rush and proclaiming that “The Era of Reagan is Over”... and having his plump pig face beaten into pulp by Rush... and his stammering for another 15 minutes in trying to spin “what he really meant". No... I despise newt like I despise romney... his love of hillary and pelosi and his embracing the lie of globull warming... and I will never vote for him or support him in any way... EVER!

Newt is not a We the People person - just another politician who is overly impressed with his elitist self. Along w/the mitt - he’s a ‘as the stomach turns’ candidate.

‘The Reagan Era is Over’ says Newt.

‘We the People’ say The Newt Era has long been over!

Lose the box.

It's distracting to the eye. Readers tend to skip over boxed replies because the box simulates an advertisement.

The content of your posts is worth reading. Don't enclose them in an "ignore me" box.

“Newt Gingrich is not perfect, but there is a reason he is the media’s #1 target.”

He’s not, Palin is, and she’s not even running.

One flaw that Palin and Newt have in common is that they are both quitters.

I agree. Classic case of a brilliant mind and probably the best thought leader on our side in the past two decades, combined with a fatally flawed character. I have liked Newt over the years, but it is clear he cannot be counted on. The House leadership performed what essentially was a mutiny in the late 90s - and justifiably so - due to his personality flaws. That said, the House did their finest work during that majority during Newt’s tenure. He simply is not presidential material.

If you buy the media spin, yeah.... Newt is a failure. Epic failure.

Media spin? LOL! Now that's media spin! Newt's a failure ALL of his own doing! He couldn't handle one day of media attacks - his ego couldn't handle it. Newt's all about Newt in a repulsive kind of way.

Bye, bye FIG NEWTon.
