Republican Party poobahs, listen up.
If Romney becomes the party nominee I will not vote for him. I will write in the name "Sarah Palin". Obama will be reelected. A conservative third party will then be created which will toss the Republican Party in the waste-basket of history. You push Romney at your own risk.

"Candidates from both parties are members of the same entrenched political system."

Both parties are financed by the corporate America that hire employees in other countries while laying off Americans. If they don't want to be an American company then don't contribute to American elections.

I'll be going Third until a candidate runs on a campaign to restore the exported jobs.

Mitt Romney is but a snap shot of what is wrong with the Republican Party.

It will be interesting, to me at least, to see who "they" nominate. They could very well snatch defeat from the jaws of victory once again. They have a habit of doing that for a long time now.

"don’t vote for the lesser of two evils - I only vote for people I agree with."

Amen. Don't waste your vote providing a mandate to someone you disagree with.

That Romney can even call himself a Republican is scandalous.

You got that right. He should just put a (d) behind his name and challenge the one in the (d) primary.

Many Freepers told us the would not vote for McCain, that just as Carter gave us Reagan, Obama’s Presidency would bring forth a deliverer. To bring that effect about they were going to stay home or make a protest vote. I guess they meant it will take 8 years of Obama.

But-But, don’t you understand! If you don’t vote for Mittens you will get obama for another four years-Boo! Boo!. If Mittens or Putzman is the nominee of the party it’s your obligation to rally around, financially support, work for and vote for him. After all we are on the same team right—right?

And remember, your support is a one way street. Do not under any circumstance expect support of any conservative republican president, after all we do have our standards...

God I hate the party boy liberal pukes in the republican party.

Third parties might finally make some inroads when the US military starts fielding candidates!

"Romney is What's Wrong With the Republican Party!"

Romney is an unrepentant abortionist/statist lying political whore! Just to be absolutely clear, there will never ever be a RINO Romney campaign on FR!! If he somehow becomes the nominee, FR will be running a full-time campaign to DEFEAT him!! If you wish to support him then I suggest you sign off FR and onto Wankers for Mitt!! … Jim Thompson

The clip at the top of the comments of this thread are from a debate with Ted Kennedy when Mitt was running against Kennedy for the Senate seat in Massachusets.

At the end of the "debate" which was Mitt trying to out-Kennedy the Swimmer, my wife said, "The only difference between Romney and Kennedy is that Romney hasn't left anyone to die in his car. That we know of any way."

And from what I have seen and heard of Mitt since, he has gotten older but no wiser. And he hasn't changed a bit.

So, if you liked Kennedy, you'll love Romney.

How about a candidate who runs on a campaign of keeping and growing jobs in America with a more favorable business climate? Lower corporate taxes, fewer restrictive regulations?

Can’t wait until Rudy jumps in, maybe Thune too, rumor is Sarah is soon to decide.. and not to forget, we still got over 16 months to the general and a year to convention.

Ouch. (for the attack ads and threads to come)

You're kidding right? Which candidate runs on cutting the unemployed rate to 6% his first two years? Jobs were leaving this country when the GOP controlled the Executive, Legislative and Judicial parts of our Government. Taxes have been higher plus what restrictive regulations has any candidates campaigned against? Sorry those things are just talking point reasons to obscure scouring the world the cheap labor to replace Americans.

Third party, no way. Unless we decide on one candidate. Otherwise the arrogant pos will be reelected.

Also just because Romney is the front leader now, doesn't mean he is going to stay the front leader.

Here is a list of candidates, potential candidates and those who have declined to run for the Office. John Thune is one of them who declined to run

Yep. I would have done a write in last time, but the insane one put Palin on the ticket, so I relented, but I will never do it again, and I have voted in every election since 1959.

If they run a RINO again and I am still alive, I will stay home.

At some point we are going to have to explain how the lessor of two evils, was not Still evil, and I am at a loss as to how I can spin that.
