Why I support Sarah Palin for President
Vanity | 6-17-2011 | Palin45Potus

On the day of the release of “Undefeated”, the new Sarah Palin movie, The Stakes are high indeed

It’s an amazing, somewhat frightening time that we live in today.

We are witnessing the slow but steady collapse of the US economic system that’s been in place since the end of WW2.

Does anyone really think that gas prices won’t continue to rise? Energy prices won’t “necessarily skyrocket”? Housing prices won’t continue to crater? Foreclosures won’t continue to blight the entire housing market?

On the World stage, the Arab Spring has become a scary echo of Europe circa 1938, with Jews now concentrated in one small Country, and a hateful United Nations determined to force them to submit their sovereignty.

The productive nations of Europe are expected to carry the unproductive ones in perpetuity.

And we have a Presidential Election rapidly approaching, which will determine who will lead the United States into the future, and what direction we will take.

The United States is looked to for leadership in the world, as it has been since the end of WW2. We are that “Shining City on The Hill” that Ronald Reagan spoke of, inspiring millions across Eastern Europe to demand their dignity be respected.

Since that time, we have been negligent in our role as World Leader, subcontracting our role out to The United Nations. The results have been dismal, but anyone familiar with the UN Charter and basic human nature really hasn’t been surprised. Saddened and disappointed, yes.

Isn’t it time for a leader with a vision for America that lives up to the stated principles in our founding documents? A leader unafraid of “World Opinion” when the only opinion we need to consider is that of The Supreme Deity, when it’s all said and done. A leader who reflexively puts the needs of their country ahead of the demands of their political cronies, and is willing and eager to break up the revolving door of Washington Insiders and the Well-connected Wall Street Crowd, in favor of Main Street, USA?

I submit to you, for your approval, Governor Sarah Palin of Alaska as the best nominee to handle these daunting tasks.

It is one thing to be able to speak in an agile manner out both sides of one’s mouth about any and all issues. Washington, DC is full of these types, and there is an ample supply elsewhere as well. So we must look beyond mere words, to candidates with proven track records of standing up for their constituents, and against the “Good Old Boy” networks that so predominate and pollute our present political climate.

As last weeks e-mail release inadvertently but eloquently highlighted for us, Sarah Palin brings scruples and dedication to the job when she signs up for it. Her work ethic, and the level of personal conduct she demands of herself are a great example for those who’d serve under her, and I claim she’d be a role model for young, idealistic public servants for years to come. The Movie “Undefeated” comes at just the right time, too. This movie will give us a new perspective on this charismatic lady from Alaska, whose track record in Alaska was truly remarkable. The country has never really gotten to know the Real Sarah Palin, who had meteoric success on a bipartisan basis in Alaska until she became an existential threat to not just Barack Obama, but the entire Washington Establishment.

It’s also worth noting that even though Filmmaker John Zeigler has had a well-publicized split with the Palin camp, he did produce an outstanding documentary called “Media Malpractice”. I recommend it to anyone who wants to see the truth about the lengths that the media was willing to go to in order to ensure the election of their chosen favorite, Barack Obama. They absolutely surrendered any claim they may have had to objectivity, and Zeigler has captured it well in this. Available in DVD, it’s well worth it to refresh your memory about the role the media played in the 2008 Presidential Election.

Polls indicate that the public is not satisfied with the present field of GOP Candidates, and who can blame us?

The GOP has tried for many months to sell us an assembly line of “Anybody But Palins”, and seem to be good with trying to unite us behind the Author of “Romney-Care”, which serves as the basic blueprint for “Obama-care”. I’m not smart enough to figure out how the first is a fine piece of legislation, but the second needs to be done away with. Moreover, I don’t think they really are serious about replacing it. Combined with his enthusiastic embrace of ethanol subsidies, and Global Warming when the evidence for it is specious and dishonest, and the table is set for an electoral disaster.

This will bring such a depressed turnout for the GOP that they will badly lose both sides of the Congress unless challenged strongly before it’s too late.

None of the other candidates running for the GOP nomination have a serious chance of winning, either. They are simply being used as either ratings-fodder for the 24-7 news cycle, or as a pawns to keep the GOP race from being a cold Palin vs Romney matchup, because the GOP insiders have no confidence that their guy Mitt can beat her one-on-one. Not only that, but they fear offending us, her loyal followers, so must resort to using others to do their dirty work.

Well, if not offending the status-quo is what the Republican Party seeks this time around, then Sarah Palin is certainly not their cup of TEA. But we have been avoiding confrontation for more than 20 years now, and where has it gotten us? I maintain that the list of problems that I started off with is partially a result of a collective failure of will on the part of the GOP. Certainly the left-leaning Democrat Party has led the way, but when it came time for the Republican Party to stand up and say “No!” they chose to avoid the confrontation. Ironically, because they flinch when threatened to be called mean names, the left now freely calls them “The Party of No” even though they almost never earn the name! The first rule of dealing with a bully is, at some point, you have to stop handing over your lunch money.

That brings me to Sarah Palin. Sarah didn’t earn the nicknames “Sarah Barracuda”, or “The Wasilla Warrior” just because they’d make a good press release. Competitive to her core, she’ll stand and fight for worthy causes just as fiercely as she defended the basket way back in High School in the process of helping Wasilla High School capture the Alaska Girls State Basketball Championship Trophy in 1982.

Almost thirty years later, Sarah Palin was been made for just this occasion. All the attributes that she’s shown consistently since entering public life are exactly what’s needed in Washington to get us back on track.

Instead of being afraid of the media and team Obama, Sarah will rightfully turn the election into a referendum on the performance of the Obama administration, and by implication their apologists and enablers in Congress and the media.

But Sarah does not just offer criticism. She has been putting forth sound proposals on a variety of relevant issues across the spectrum, and upon examination, she’s got 70% of the nations voters agreeing with most everything she wants to do. If you’ve not done so, check out some of her Facebook postings.

No one else even comes close to her encyclopedic knowledge of energy issues, and understands the dynamic links of energy and financial independence, of energy and security, and of energy and sound economic policy. Given the dismal track record of the present regime, why wouldn’t the country pay close attention to her when she speaks about these issues?

Not to mention, who can command the attention of the average taxpaying voter like her? We know that she’s one of us, and we can trust her. She won’t hire a staff of Washington Insiders just to fill the roster. Rather, she’ll make sound choices based on those who are willing to embrace a pro-American vision, and put in the tough hours to make it happen.

The entire World is looking for leadership from the USA. Our best leader is Sarah Palin. Will you join in and help to propel her forward to the presidency, and start the restoration of the American Promise?

I’m voting for Sarah in 2012 if she runs. While I won’t rule out perhaps another Republican I will say that for d*mn sure I am NOT voting for Romney. I don’t care if the GOP puts that socialist on the ballot or not, I am not voting for him.

Yes.

As a Christian, I do not put all my trust in fallible human beings but because Obama is such a threat to America and my admiration for the former governor of Alaska has continued to grow since she stepped onto the national and world stage at the 2008 Republican nominating convention, I support and will gladly cast my 2012 GOP primary and presidential vote for Sarah Palin.

Sarah Palin is my first choice. I hope she does run. I agree with every one of her policy stances. She is a principled conservative with experience as the chief executive of a large state. She is eminently qualified.

I support Palin because she has the most fight, she has been antiestablishment from her roots, she is a person who clearly always tries to choose what is the right thing to do not the easy thing and we need that in Washington. My biggest disagreement with her was Chuck DeVore but even the best of friends don’t always agree on everything. Bachman would be my second choice but I’d even happily vote for Ron Paul. There are only two candidates that are being discussed who I could never pull the proverbial lever for and those two are Romney and Hunstman.(How in the hell did the most liberal candidates turn out to be Mormon?)

Palin is real, she is one of us, she came from meager means and understands the value of small govt. She isn’t an ass kisser. She is fighter and she’s been under attack by the most vicious beasts in the political world and she has thrived. None of the other candidates running come close to the level of personal strength that Palin has demonstrated and provided she runs I will never have been prouder to support a candidate. It is a great feeling of relief I feel just thinking about it. Finally able to support a Pres candidate that I am not holding my nose. I never had the opportunity to vote for Ronald Reagan but I’m looking forward to something almost as gratifying and that is voting for Sarah Palin.

You are so diseased with PDS you cannot help yourself.

Tone deaf, and obviously clueless should be your screen name.

You really know how to win friends and influence people, don’t you? That was an uncalled for, and particularly nasty snark you posted.

How about commenting on the meat of the thread, instead? Or, if you simply have nothing good to say about Governor Palin, and do not support her in any way, perhaps it’s just better to not comment at all.

I’ll be voting for Sarah Palin, Liberty, our Constitution and American Exceptionalism.

A short list:

Palin has never lied to me.

I trust her.

She is real.

She’s a conservative.

She’s like me and many of my neighbors......she is truly one of us.

She truly loves our country and she’s a patriot..

She won’t be running for president for selfish reasons, she’ll be running to help better all of America.

She’s made of iron, has a heart of gold and the fighting spirit of a hundred Grizzly bears.

She believes in America, will fight for our constitution and for all of what our Founders started for us.

She isn’t Obama or What’s Her Name-Rollins.

She WILL WIN!

AND, I would like to see America survive............

I've been watching Palin since early 90's, she has always been a good effective executive at all levels; you can trust her judgment; that says more than anything. Palin isn't a conservative ideologue, she does what she sees is the right for the people & country; often going against what the Repub party tells her how it's going to be; I like that actually.

If she ever is elected, she will shake things up and draw more democratic support than you can imagine which will make her an effective Pres. The dems in Alaska liked Palin until she ran for VP.

When Palin was in power, oil was $140. The state had all kinds of extra cash. The Repubs wanted to spend it on their friends & financial supporters; Palin stopped them. She saw to it that the money benefited Alaskans directly rather than letting the Repub Legislators pass it out to their buddies, no joke. Palin is the best, wish she was Queen up here; Alaska be better for it.

“Instead of being afraid of the media and team Obama...”

I don’t know, she seems to be overly concerned with the possibility of a “gotcha” question. I admit I don’t follow her closely, but I have yet to see her in a relaxed, sincere, substantive interview. Both her and Bachmann always seem to be politically “on”. Palin does have a lot of positives, though.

I long for the day, when Sarah Palin will stroll down the hall to the East Room, look out the window and say, “Wow!, I can see the Potomac from my House”.
