Louis Farrakhan delivered a scathing statement on the relentless bombing of Libya by NATO forces at a press conference held at United Nations Plaza Hotel Millennium in New York City on Wednesday, June 15, 2011... The press conference had a live link to Libya and South Africa and will be translated into Arabic for the Libyan people. Brief statements were also given by Viola Plummer of the December 12th Movement, former Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney speaking from Libya via telephone, and former U.S. Attorney General Ramsey Clark... Farrakhan questioned the U.N.'s fostering of armed rebellion and civil war and not humanitarian concerns... He cited America's decimation of the indigenous people of the U.S., the transatlantic slave trade, atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the war on Iraq based on lies causing the death of thousands of U.S. soldiers and hundreds of thousand Iraqis, and England's abuse of the people of Asia, Africa, the Caribbean and all the places that they ruled... the U.S.'s poverty, homelessness, lack of health care, decaying infrastructure, crime and illiteracy... While the people of the U.S. are burdened with a $62 trillion national debt, Libya is debt free... "NATO and America are trying to recolonize Africa through AFRICOM (African Command)... over many years Qaddafi played a major role in providing financial support for many African nations and institutions including the African Union... The West fears an African Union. It threatens the international power structure."

Unity generates power to change reality

"The time has never been more ripe for a strategic relationship between the Black, Brown, Native American and the poor of this nation and the world."
"We need a Ministry of Defense. Our young men are born soldiers, but they are in the wrong war. They are fighting a war in the streets of America against each other, or they are fighting an unjust war overseas in Afghanistan and Iraq. We need to bring our boys home and put them into the Ministry of Defense, so we can defend our communities, rather than destroy our communities.
We need a Ministry of Art and Culture. We applaud the hip hop community, the leaders of young people all over the world, but I want the young generation of artists to know there is a bigger purpose for art and culture than popping our fingers and shaking our backsides.
Mao Tse Tung, throughout his long march to conquer China, had a billion people whose lives he had to transform. Many of them were victims of opium, drugs and prostitution, like we are. But Mao Tse Tung went to the cultural community and they accepted his idea. Then, through song, dance, poetry, drama, documentaries, movies and books, the idea of Mao Tse Tung became the idea of a billion people. China became a world power on the base of culture and the artistic community. If we had a Ministry of Art and Culture in every city, [we'd] create this movement [in the U.S.], we could say to our young people, “What is the idea of the Time and are you reflecting that idea in your songs, dance and music?
We need a Ministry of Trade and Commerce. Do you think that a Millions More Movement should not be involved in the development of Africa, the Caribbean and Central America? ... we need a Ministry of Trade and Commerce that can link the struggle here with Africa and the Caribbean, Central and South America.

Louie and I agree on Libya for different reasons but either way we should not be in Libya.
I was more trying to shed some light on where Farrakhan is coming from politically. He is a communist first and foremost. His “religion” is about as legit as Obama’s Rev Wright’s. His hero is Mao Tse Tung, not Allah. In fact, He, Wright, the new and old Black Panthers, and even Ayers’ Weather Underground all advocated communist revolutionary “Black Liberation”. Obviously so did the murderous terrorist group, the Black Liberation Army.
Yep, I agree with him on this one. No support for terrorists in Libya, Syria, Egypt... (too late on that one).
Also communist (both).
