Posted on 06/22/2011 4:39:28 PM PDT by The Shrew
Straight talk from Sgt. Maj. of the Marine Corps: How dare we, then, exclude a group of people who want to do the same thing you do right now, something that is honorable and noble?
Get over it, he said. Were magnificent, were going to continue to be. Lets just move on, treat everybody with firmness, fairness, dignity, compassion and respect. Lets be Marines.
bit.ly The Command Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps addressed a group of Marines at a base in South Korea several key topics, including the repeal of the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy...
I think the word the Sergeant Major was looking for was "fabulous".
“I, for one, welcome our new sodomitic overlords.”
Do what? Ingest feces?
This just shows top enlisted Marines are the same kind of sick, selfish political hacks as the rest of the perfumed princes of the Pentagon. What a disappointing mouse this guy turned out to be. He’d be better off just keeping his stinking pie hole shut.
Hey Smaj: No society that has embraced homosexuality has remained “magnificent”.
Romans 1 is kicking your @$$.
Goodnight, Chesty, Wherever, Whaever...
Chesty Puller On “Loyalty Down”
Puller: “I also learned that this loyalty to one’s Corps travels both ways, up and down.”
The following is in relation to the well-known Ribbon Creek/S/Sgt Matthew McKeon trial at MCRD, Parris Island, SC, in 1956
Amid a nationwide public outcry regarding the whole matter of the drownings in particular and Marine Corps training practices in general, LtGen Lewis B. “Chesty” Puller was recalled to active duty to testify at the trial regarding Marine training and tradition. Mrs. Puller protested to her husband citing previous trouble and controversy in Puller’s career. Puller told her, “...The important thing is the Marine Corps. If we let ‘em, they’ll tear it to pieces. Headquarters won’t speak up. It’s my duty to do it.”
At the trial, Puller was asked questions pertaining to his own military service, the mission of the Marine Corps, the most important element of Marine training, etc. In part, Puller replied that:, “...The definition of military training is success in battle. In my opinion, it is the only objective of military training...”
He quoted Napoleon. “He stated that the most important thing in military training is discipline. Without discipline an army becomes a mob.”
Puller was asked what he had learned here (PISC) as a recruit. He replied, “Well, the main thing—that I have rememberd all my life—is the definition of espirit de corps. Now my definition—that I was taught, that I’ve always believed in—is that espirit de corps means love for one’s military legion. In my case the United States Marine Corps. I also learned that this loyalty to one’s Corps travels both ways, up and down.
“Q: Now, general, I want you to assume that what is the evidence in this case is a fact. That on a Sunday evening a drill instructor took a platoon that was undisciplined and lacked spirit and on whom he’ tried other methods of discipline. And that for purposes of teaching discipline and instilling morale he took that platoon into a marsh or creek—all the way in front of his troops—would you consider that oppression?
A: In my opinion it is not.”
“Q: So, in your opinion, was this act of this drill instructor in leading his troops, under those conditions and for that purpose, good or bad military practice?
...I would train my troops as I thought—as I knew they should be trained—regardless of a directive.”
“Q: ...I lead these recruits into water over their heads and I lose six of those men by drowning. Would you say that some action should be taken against me?
A: I would say that this night march was and is a deplorable accident.”
“Q: Would you take any action against me if I were the one who did that, if you were my Commanding Officer, sir?
A: ...I think, from what I read in the papers yesterday of the testimony of General Pate before this court, that he agrees and regrets that this man was ever ordered tried by general court-martial.”
“Puller went into the noncom’s club that night with Berman, two Marine generals and other officers; the big crowd stood, shouting until he spoke:
‘I’ve talked enough for today. This will be my last request. Do your duty and the Marine Corps will be as great as it has always been for another thousand years.’
The applause was deafening.”

No question the Marines are the best of the best. However I cannot fathom why as a nation we want to support in any way immorality and sodomy. Ignoring it or pretending it is ‘normal’ is unfathomable.
Look at the world’s definition of sodomy from Websters New Collegiate Dictionary:
Copulation with a member of the same sex or with an animal.
Non-coital and especially anal or oral copulation with a member of the same sex.
Now let’s look at what the Bible says about sodomy. Let the word of God speak for itself:
“You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination. Nor shall you mate with any animal, to defile yourself with it. Nor shall any woman stand before an animal to mate with it. It is perversion.” (Leviticus 18:22-23, NKJV)
“If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them. “ (Leviticus 20:13)
Fellate their Buddies?
I think this Sgt/Major is more worried about his job than the Marine Corps.
Here are some questions for the Sergeant Major:
1. Will the Marine Corps stop discriminating against disabled People? Especially former Marines who were injured in the line of duty based upon this policy?
2. How dare we, then, exclude a group of people who want to do the same thing you do right now, something that is honorable and noble?
3. Will the Marine Corps Recruiting Command publish the data concerning Marines who failed to re-enlist based upon their inability to "get over" this policy?
4. How does the repeal of DADT improve the Marine Corps ability to fight its nations wars?
5. The most common slur hurled at recruits at MCRD is Faggot. Is the Sergeant Major going to Drill Instructor school and provide the same direction to the Drill Instructors as he is to these mostly junior Marines?
How true. The Sgt Maj exhibits a fatal lack of understanding.
i hope you like getting training
in all the homosexual activities and sexual practices
and anti-bullying for homosexuals
and celebrating LBGT month
and rainbow flags....
and Gay Pride Parades on military bases
Okay. Judgement reserved!
Is this line the tack you are recommending Marine leaders use in the implementation of Don't Ask. Don't Tell?
...I would train my troops as I thoughtas I knew they should be trainedregardless of a directive. Or, is there another point you are making?
Hey, Sgt. Maj. of the Marine Corps, can you read?
King James Version (KJV)
13If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

So theSgt. Maj. knows more than Gen. George Washington and the Lord Jesus Christ? Ill stick with Jesus!

Essentially, this SgtMaj is just drinking the cool aid and supporting the Status Quo to protect his career. He know as well as I do that this whole lifestyle was completely unacceptable in the old days and he would be the first guy to step up in court martial a homo for grabbing some guys as. Now I guess our sick society seems to think it is a acceptable and have forced our Corps to consent to this degenerate lifestyle. Just glad I am retired. I guess animal sex and multiple sex partners, wife swapping etc. will be acceptable next. Why not. Hey SgtMaj picture two dudes butt slamming each other and try to decide if that is honorable service! What a joke! I fear for the future of this country. Guess everybody wants to be like the nasty Eurorpeans these days.
A couple of comments on the blog.
That said, this Marine is doing EXACTLY what is required of military subordinates. Taking an order that is given to him, and passing it down as if he owns it.
If he had done less, he would deserve to be fired.
Presumably, he had a chance to voice his true opinion to his superiors. That is the least that any military man or woman should expect. However, one the decision is made, then he better own it.
This isn’t ‘STRAIGHT TALK’! It’s the other.
Get over it, Weiner wagged his weiner at some camwhore sluts. < /sarc >
Slouching to Gomorrah
Luckly, the military is self correcting. If you can be counted on and trusted, your squad mates will look after you as you look after them. You chance of survival just got better. If you cannot be counted on or trusted, no one will look after you, and your chances of survival just got much worse. And this happens regardless of race, creed, gender, or sexual orientation, at least in my opinion.
That's the big question. My daughter who is in the Coast Guard and I agree that it would be poetic justice for men to have to deal with sexual harassment from other men, the way we women do from men ... but it wouldn't be productive for our national defense, and that's the real point.
Seaman Anoreth has learned to apply a forceful but "accidental" blow to a sensitive spot, during two years on the cutter ;-).
Let's not forget (and I am not saying you did) that faggot law was passed in the lame duck democrat Congress. Only a tiny percentage of the electorate pressed for it. The rats purposely did not bring it to the floor before the election. We slipped in those weeks into an oligarchy.
Hussein said he was ready to rule from day 1. On that point, he did not lie, for we are ruled by despots and no longer governed by fellow citizens.
It is a shame that senior military personnel did not resign en masse.
The lavender mafia. They fill the ranks with fellow travelers.
The Wikileaks recruit was a homosexual who stole thousands of restricted documents and leaked them because he was “angry” (not so “gay”) over don’t ask, don’t tell. 10:1 that is why he enlisted in the first place.
Fifth columnists working within the system to take it down.
Same as the Log Cabin so-called “Republicans”.
Gee, I wonder why.
The Corps, and the entire Defense establishment, had better start thinking about what it's going to take to win a real war against a large, capable opponent (China). And it won't be done with Muzzies, Womyn, or Rump Wranglers.
Women getting hit on by men is a whole lot different than men getting hit on by sick, mentally deranged perverted creatures in men's bodies.
I think this is a great point, and as GunnyG posted above, Loyalty runs up and down the chain of command. When it doesn't you end up with disasterous consequences. But, the key word in your statement above is trust. Trusted to do or not do what? Trusted to say or not say what? In the Marine Corps I was in Trust was founded upon the Constitution of the United States, the USMC Field Manual and inside that the Marine Corps Leadership Traits and Leadership Principles.
Please show me where DADT fits into these principles. The Sergeant Major is undoubtedly a great Marine, but were I to be writing his fitness report I'd be focusing on these four:
◦The quality of faithfulness to country, the Corps, the unit, to one's seniors, subordinates and peers.
◦Avoidance of providing for one's own comfort and personal advancement at the expense of others.
◦Uprightness of character and soundness of moral principles; includes the qualities of truthfulness and honesty.
◦The mental quality that recognizes fear of danger or criticism, but enables a man to proceed in the face of it with calmness and firmness.
I'm not trying to presume, but DADT was successfully fought by the three previous commandants and has now been rammed down our throats. What could the senior Marine leadership - both enlisted and officer done to prevent this?
Um, in all due respect Sgt. Major, if homosexuals were honorable and noble in the first place, they wouldn't be flaunting their perverted homosexuality in the second place. Sorry, I don't agree, the average homo does not want to join the service out of any sense of honor and nobility. They are NOT the same as your average STRAIGHT Marine.
Look, these guys cruise 24/7, and they can wear a general's stars or nothing at all, and they are cruising no matter what else they're talking about.
We described my army drill sergeant at Fort Polk Louisiana in 1971 as “eloquently profane”.
How true, the Spartans didn't really last that long, they fought well by day, did the poop shute shuffle by night. Actually, homosexuality was a widespread pracice all over early Greece. When the Western Crusaders were allowed to ride throuh Constantiniple and saw all that man-on-man stuff, with enhanced eyeliner and makeup, those super macho men of the Western Crusade weren't even able to contain themselves of the disgust and rage they felt at the spectacle. They tore the whole damn city down and took the spoils to help fund the war againsst Islam. Notice how the Greek King, (whatever his name was), allowed the great Crusaders to travel through his land, but refused to fight with them againt the Moslems.

Idiot. He obviously cares nothing for the men and women under his command or anywhere in the military. He's worse than an idiot, he's a spokesman for sexual perversion. He's going out of his way to promote disgusting, sickening, dangerous and immoral sexual perversion. And ruining the military that he supposedly loves.
No, it is not different, but way to go with the attempted substitution of “hit on” for “harassed,” as if being asked on a date were the same as being backed into a corner and groped. That was very Chrissy Matthews of you.
Sexual aggression towards coworkers disruptive to the professional environment. In many contexts, this is just a potential loss of profit or efficiency, but in the military, it is detrimental to the nation’s defense. You’re not looking for drug-runners on watch, if you’re watching your back.
Well let’s hope the good Sgt. Major gets off his butt in Korea and is transferred to Afghanistan where he can go on patrol with a bunch of his “friends”.
Yeah....of those who move on ships.....
Our culture understands that it is normal for there to always be sexual attraction between the OPPOSITE sexes that might play out in any number of situations, for the most part this attraction is expected and NORMAL, not the same with perverted men and women who need to seek counseling rather than partners for their mentally deranged backwards sexual attractions.
If a woman gives me unwanted sexual offers I can handle that politely and maybe even feel complimented, with a man doing the same I might get nauseous and puke on the spot. It is just too bizarre to deal with, it's akin to being at a freak show.
That's a little dainty. I'd just laugh at a sexual advance from another woman.
Anyway, we agree that open homosexuality in the military is an idiotic idea, and that's the real point.
Yes, agreed, eventho our reasons behind it are different.
This “Marine,” if indeed he is a Marine, is a coward and a degenerate. He can go join the perverts in the Taliban.
Is there a real issue here?
1) Do we think that gay men (and women) really want to serve in the military?
2) If some one really wants to serve their country by perfroming military service shouldn’t we welcome them?
3) The real issue is can unit conhesion be maintained with gay people in a unit?
4) From 1941 to about 1973 there was a draft. I’m sure there were gay men serving. Did that hurt unit cohesion?
I’d bet all the money I own that this guy was ordered to give this speech in just the way he gave it.
Your daughter may have a point once they co co-ed and the women and men use the same restrooms and shower together. Until then she is way off.
I just got back from a week and Camp Upshur on Quantico. We were in open bay sleeping quarters, open bay showers, and even open bay crapper! But the women had their own for all those things. Put the women with the men then it’s all good.
During the draft being gay was outlawed in the military, there was no "don't ask don't tell" BS. The few that made it through the pre-draft screening, in other words the ones that lied about being gay, kept their secret to themselves and had a low profile. There was no grouping, kissing or fondling of other soldiers, at least not in the open.
Now there will be all those things and the gays will be obnoxious and irritating, just the way most of them are in civilian life.
There will be discipline problems of a magnitude unheard of today.
In my younger days I was approached often with unwanted advances from men (I’m a “she”) and I knew how to deal with such advances, or learned how, after a while.
I was also “hit on” by two lesbians. The (HIGHLY) unwanted advances by the homosexuals were infinitely more disturbing than the opposite sex advances, no matter how crude or even aggressive the men might have sometimes been.
Neither of the homosexuals who made advances touched me or in any way were aggressively trying to, but the nausea and repulsion factor was extremely high, and very disturbing emotionally. And not because (as not either of you would think obviously!) I was “secretly attracted” but the only thing that comes to mind would be if someone offered me a s*** sandwich, the repulsion and emotionally strong reaction might be similar.
It’s normal and natural for men to be attracted to women and women to be attracted to men, even though some humans act like “animals” and make (very) unwanted advances, it’s still within the realm of Mother Nature. But the same advances made by a homosexual are in a whole ‘nother realm, and I can personally attest to this.
When these events happened I was (IIRC) 17 and 19 and had not formulated my current moral values, but the repulsion and fear were inherent in my very being, and indeed, helped in a small way, to shape my values.
