I’m rethinking the San Diego summer vacation we have planned.

What’s with the fans in LA? Those Amish fans are certainly causing problems out there. First, the Dodger’s incident, now this.

I look forward to the coming riots, November 2012.

Is this still news? LA hasn't been part of the USA for years.

This never would have happened if they’d held the game in the United States.

When the US team plays in Mexico they literally have to use riot shields to protect American players who do corner kicks as they are close to the stands and “fans” throw all kinds of debris at US players.
So, in a way, this type of reception really was a home field advantage.

Frankly when I look at any soccer crowd in this country my gut reaction is “those people aren’t Americans!”
Flipped by a Portland Timbers home game on cable and those fans looked more French than if they had been sitting in Marseilles.

Why? I think travelling to a foreign land broadens one.
To: Justaham
If not Mexicans, who in America is going to watch soccer?
This reminds me of going to Astros games in the 80's. I made the mistake once of going when the Dodgers were in town and Fernando Valenzuela was pitching. The Astrodome was full of Mexicans, many waving Mexican flags in honor of their "Fernandito".

“most of them American born of naturalized Mexicans - booed and jeered the U.S. team.”
The reporter has no factual knowledge with which to defend that statement. He, nor anyone else, knows how many of the fans at the game are in the United States illegally.
