Let's see.. There's no Republican president who back-stabbed the base and raised taxes, nor a senator who somehow lost every ounce of their personality during a campaign and gave the impression that he 'deserved' it.
At a guess, I'd say that this would be more the excuse for the Republican party to go all liberal again (colloquially known as 'Running to the center') and ignore the opinions of a huge block of voters to pander to a group that wouldn't ever vote for a conservative, much less a liberal wearing a (R) after their name.
I predict, if he does run, and does get any traction, it'll be because he's busy talking about the issues that the Republicans almost constantly hide from. And anyone who refuses to 'vote the line' will be ostracized for 'letting Obama win.'

Did he? Ok, that rules him out for me. But I defenitely believe a candidate needs to speak like this. Know what you are talking about, believe in what you’re saying. It’s so easy in concept, but so hard to find outside of Washington in acutal practice.

I live in Las Vegas. A few years ago I didn’t think much of Wynn- just another wealthy elitist I figured. I was surprised how conservative he sounded on a few local news clips I saw. Too bad he’s running as an independent. Conservatism + business sense is a good combination right now.

The same focus group that lauded Wynn gave DeMint a thumbs-down for his balanced budget agenda. The group was enamored with Steve Wynn’s focus on the “employee”. +1 for Wynn, -1 for the subservient drones.
Wynn acknowledged he “voted” for Obama, but is now voicing the popular anti-Obama rhetoric that focuses on jobs.
Vegas odds Wynn won’t run.
Steve Wynn can sound Republican, but he has huge skeletons in his closet, mob stuff. I’ve had to research him for my book on Reid. I am trying to dig down into some of this without getting killed. There’s a guy who worked for Wynn who might play a big part in Reid’s downfall. A hall of many mirrors.
