CORPUS CHRISTI — Why would anyone steal a U.S. flag from a war memorial?
And just days before the Fourth of July?
"That's the flag. It's in our schools, our hospitals, our government buildings," said Vietnam veteran Ram Chavez. "It's draped over the casket of those who've died defending this country."
For the past three years, the city has depended on Chavez, founder of the Veterans Band of Corpus Christi, and the group's members to lower the U.S. flags at the city World War Memorial in a brief, but respectful ceremony when the flags become worn and to replace the flags with new ones.
When they arrived Saturday at the memorial near Corpus Christi Cathedral, one of the two flags was missing...

If and when the creature who did this is caught a bunch of Veterans need to take him somewhere private and beat the everlovin’ crap out of him (or them!).
It is typical for a conquering people to remove the symbols once revered by the vanquished. Perhaps that is the reason the flags were taken down.
Yours is a much better idea.

Then again ... they wouldn’t give me permission to Recruit for the Army, Navy or Marine Corps.. (I did it anyway) ... although the Coast Guard seems to get a Pass (just an observation Coasties)

Nope it probably wasn’t nothin’ like the Johnson raid Nope it probably was just some poor joe who lost his job in the worst recession ever and couldn’t afford to buy his own flag to honor his president and the Democratic Party on the 4th.
They did that here too, over 200 of them.
Probably not a foreign national or an enemy of our country, odds are they actually had family members that served.
