I’ll take your word for it, since I don’t know much about Jewish folks; however, I do have to add that I find a figure of eighty percent to be astonishingly high considering all that’s happened in the past couple of years.

I have many lib Jewish friends, and I am appalled by what they say about Christians. Apparently to them, we're all inbred rubes...

Well, if you are appalled by these lib Jewish friends (and, from this Jewish perspective, I don't blame you), get yourself some conservative Jewish friends. In that kind of relationship, each would respect the religion of the other, one would hope. If you can't find conservative Jewish friends in person, there are quite a number of FRiends that fit the category right here.

Our church took a bunch of kids in a confirmation class to a Jewish synagogue service. The Rabbi numerous times brought up Christians and Christian preachers making fun of them - calling their preaching a "shtick." I find it highly inappropriate with kids in the congregation.

From this Jewish viewpoint, I'd agree. I'd bet my last dollar that this was a Reform rabbi.

Oh, I have some conservative Jewish friends, but they are definitely the exception. And for the most part conservative fiscally, but liberal on social issues. But it is refreshing nonetheless. And I’m not appalled by my lib Jewish friends, just their hatred for Christians. Kind of like having a relative that has oddball or offensive views. You don’t like that part of them, but you still love them anyway. I almost married a liberal Jewish woman. But she couldn’t go through with it, because her dad would never accept me as her husband (even though he liked me personally), and she would be all but disowned by her family.

Speaking of social issues, I've seen some Jewish women who are zealous about "a women's right to choose," but never have I encountered a Jewish woman who had or was known to have had an electively induced abortion herself. Hypocrisy?
