'Nazi' police 'kidnap' woman at town hall
WND ^ | 7 6 2011 | Joe Kovacs

Posted on 07/07/2011 6:07:34 AM PDT by tutstar

A small town in Arizona is suddenly a YouTube sensation after a town-hall meeting devolved into a physical clash as a woman was forcibly removed from speaking during the public portion of the event.

Jennifer "Jade" Jones, 45, of Quartzsite, Ariz., was taken into custody by local police at the behest of Quartzsite councilmembers, over the objections of the mayor, who pleaded with officers not to remove the woman.

Sure sounds like a corrupt town council and Sheriff in need of a sorely needed investigation and accompanying lawsuit(’s).

I am beginning to see a flood of sentiment against police in this country and it is all brought on by the police themselves. If they don’t seriously do something to straighten out the situation and stop their antics, we are in very deep serious kimchee here.

From a legal point, the council’s argument would be that she was using her time to address the audience, not the stated purpose of addressing the council. The audience cannot conduct city business, the council can, and that was the purpose of the meeting.

Council handled this foolishly.

A better way to handle it would have been to recognize her (and anyone else who wants speak) for 2 minutes. Let them rant, then cut them off after the two minutes. Ignore the nuts, just let them rant. If someone was saying something they wanted to deal with, then council can move to let them extend their remarks.

The headline that “Nazi police kidnap a woman” is false and an insult to every reader’s intelligence.

The actions of the police and the town council in this video are illegal. Why haven’t they been arrested?

If the story is correct, then why was the councilman directing the police to remove her when the mayor was in charge of this meeting and gave her the floor? The councilman was out of order and acting beyond his pay grade.

Police shot a man to death in the town next to us.

He was bipolar/alcoholic and was off his meds. He was holding a knife. The cops told him to drop it, but he wouldn’t. They tasered him, but he still didn’t drop it. Then they killed him.

Too much of this going on everywhere.

Meanwhile, the gang-bangers are free to rob, molest, rape, batter and kill at will.

My favorite quote from the article:

"He's just an insane person, that chief of police," the mayor said of Gilbert. "He's a Nazi ... he's completely out of control. He thinks he's running the town."

The audience cannot conduct city business, the council can, and that was the purpose of the meeting.

Once the council recognized the lady, that was discussion of city business. The purpose for the Council Meeting was directed to public discussion. It is silly to state that the only purpose of the Council Meeting was to "conduct city business". A city council is a representative body, not a dictatorship. The lady was obviously in the middle of a dispute between the Mayor and the majority of the council members.

The very fact that there is a video, indicates to me that this was "planned".

I served on a City Council in a Town of 10,000 population for a time. And have some experience with citizen input. Government with the consent of the citizens is what we are about.

Your legal point isn't a legal point at all. She had be recognized to speak and was speaking, it doesn't matter in which direction she is speaking or whom she is addressing specifically. When speaking at a town meeting where residents are gathered, are you claiming that a recognized speaker can only speak specifically to the town council? There wouldn't be any reason for a public meeting then would there?

The fact are as follows. The woman in the video had already been recognized and she had the floor. Council members began speaking over her as soon as she began speaking. The mayor, the person in charge of, and running, the meeting continuously told the police to step back as she was the recognized speaker.

There is no legal justification for the police taking her into custody. The are breaking the law by doing so. Now...I don't know if the police officers are national socialist workers party members or not, but they have no problem breaking the law and acting in the manner of the gestapo. The police forcibly detained and removed the recognized speaker. In a lot of jurisdictions that would be considered kidnapping. Perhaps the term nazi is inflammatory rhetoric, but honestly, don't these thugs deserve it?

They’ve simply come to the concious realization that all the money and all the power of the government comes at the expense of the people. This is now the premise they use for interacting with the people.

Involuntary payments to government always end up this way.

I am beginning to see a flood of sentiment against police in this country and it is all brought on by the police themselves.

Sometimes but there is a lot being stoked by the left or resulting from leftist actions and policies. I guarantee that the bulk of police corruption takes place in areas controlled by democrats. My little town is virtually crime free and as a result, we're virtually police free.

When there's a police shooting in the inner city, the justice brothers come running to demand that the police stop doing their jobs. When the crime rates rise the justice brothers blame police for not doing their job.

When I've been to pure right wing events like tea parties, police are relaxed and happy. When I've been at mixed protests, police have turned their backs to those on the right because they can't turn their backs on the left and they know it.

A few weeks ago, maybe even a week ago, I would not have made such a post. If you don’t see this as a very serious problem and getting worse in flood proportions by the day, then you are not looking in the right places.
One good place to start would be for cops to stop covering each others’ arses which is something they do every day. If killing a cop warrants the death penalty where killing an ordinary citizen does not, then a criminal cop deserves much more punishment than an ordinary citizen for commiting the same offense.

They are not worried about the gangbangers. They are concerned with the ordinary working stiff. They must condition them to obey orders immediayely and without question. The “Get your ass in the cattle car!”, or boxcar, is coming before very many moons. Gotta have the sheep compliant before then. In a way, it will be worth it just to see the jackboot lickers scream, cry, and plead. To no avail.

Is Wikepedia the best you can do?! Sorry that is one of the last places I ever look for even relatively accurate information on any given subjet considering the sources of their own so called information.

Just understand that I for one understood the gist of the message referencing the word 'Nazis' and understood the intent which was actually 'gestapo like' in the intent of the bozo Sheriff and his deputies in their callous and likely illegal action. Some here should quit quibbling over the use of a single incorrect or less descriptive word and concentrate on the overall message.

That was then. This is now. While that was true in the past, now we have became too civilized for that. We are now being conditioned that we need “professionals” to make our decisions for us.The individual is no longer competent to hake their day-to day life decisions. We need “professional” juries, “Professional” police, “professional” rulers, to wit: politicians, “professional” firemen. The list goes on, even down to “professional rat killers.

OK, that explains it. But the mayor must have allowed the video to be shown.

I did notice the council chamber was pretty fancy for a town of under 4,000 population and the council was removed from the audience by a barrier. Wonder if it doubles as a courtroom? That is what it looked like.

Council Meetings are “public” meetings and most states have “open meeting” requirements to reduce the smoke filled backroom nonsense.

Cops are held to a higher standard and that translates to punishment for proven wrong doing as well. If a cop around here gets convicted of DWI, they are fired. Can you say the same for doctors, lawyers, bankers? No.

The thing around here is that you have certain freepers who post daily articles about alleged bad cops. So people think it's an epidemic. But you never read articles about the millions of positive daily interactions between cops and the public.

Like I said, medical negligence KILLS people on a daily basis, but we accept that because we are sure that docs are trying to do the right thing. We just don't give the same lee-way to police officers.
