Herman Cain on June Jobs Report: Worst ‘Recovery’ in U.S. History

Herman Cain, a candidate for the Republican presidential nomination and the former CEO of Godfather’s Pizza, slammed Obama’s handling of the economy in a response to the June jobs report which was released today by the U.S. Department of Labor. Today’s jobs report said that unemployment increased from 9.1 percent to 9.2 percent in the month of June. The jobs report “confirms what most Americans already know: we still have a long way to go and a lot of work to do,” Obama said about the unsettling news.

Cain expressed his dissatisfaction with the June jobs report by stating that “this is demonstrably and empirically the worst economic ‘recovery’ in American history.” Cain, who helped Godfather’s Pizza and Burger King back on their feet, was horrified that the economy had generated only 18,000 net jobs in the month of June. Cain added that “these figures do not even include those who have simply given up on finding work or are underemployed, scraping to get by.”

Cain, whose expertise on creating jobs and boosting revenue is his strong suit, pointed to Obama’s economic adviser, Austan Goolsbee, who argued that the private sector has to be responsible for encouraging an economic recovery. “I agree with Mr. Goolsbee, but wonder why if the Obama Administration acknowledges this economic truth, they still fail to enact business-friendly policies that would get America’s job creators hiring again,” Cain professed.

Cain’s experience in the private sector gives him a unique perspective on what the June jobs report means for the economy. “The government doesn’t create jobs. Business creates jobs. And it’s time to get America working again,” Cain stressed.

The June jobs report has inspired responses from a number of GOP candidates, including former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney and Rep. Michele Bachmann. Romney said that “today’s abysmal jobs report confirms what we all know – that President Obama has failed to get this economy moving again.” Bachmann added that “today’s unemployment report is another stark reminder of the failure of President Obama’s economic policies.

Me too. This guy understands the economy far better than our politicians. He is not “wonky” about it either and that is a big plus!

Wall Street recovered...seen the stock numbers lately...seen their bonus’s....yeah.

Anyhow, the other of us “we” never came out of the initial recession; hence, no recovery. Basically, yo mer, ‘recovery” is a myth. =.=

So do I.

Has anyone mentioned this possible ticket:

Herman Cain / John Bolton

Talk about putting adults back in charge!

Of all the people running for POTUS, Herman could pull the Confidence Fairy out of his vest pocket and get this economy rolling. HE could keep the’permanent government’ elephant off Business’ back. It’s really hard to breath with Obama’s boot on their throat.

I think that ticket compliments each others strong points. Bolton on national security and Cain on economic policy
