Margin marks first statistically significant lead among registered voters

by Jeffrey M. Jones

PRINCETON, NJ -- Registered voters by a significant margin now say they are more likely to vote for the "Republican Party's candidate for president" than for President Barack Obama in the 2012 election, 47% to 39%. Preferences had been fairly evenly divided this year in this test of Obama's re-election prospects.

The good news is that a significant percentage of those tax-consumers do not vote. What we must do is to ensure that illegal aliens don’t take their place at the polls.

Spot on. Next summer could be long, hot....and dangerous.

They say people accuse others of what they actually do or would do. Remember Bush caused 9/11? This really concerns me. I would not put it past o or the left to wag the dog to get reelected. He might ask one of his muslin friends to help and I'm sure they would be more than willing to help. If I was a Republican in DC, I would mention that everyone is watching to make sure they/he does not try to cause a crisis.

Generic only beats a name when the name is unpopular -- as Obama surely is.

We are far from a guaranteed win next November, but at this point things are shaping up very well indeed.

“I don’t think the Race Card / White Guilt is going to be nearly as big of a factor this time around.”

I hope so.

However, I’ve been fooled before.

I thought the gross racist travesty of justice known as the Simpson trial, would have opened the eyes of some of the cowardly, historically ignorant, deluded fools who suffer from (or indulge in), white guilt.

What are you talking about?

You’re not still deluded into the fiction that they are going to raise taxes?”

Well, it is difficult for me to anticipate all of the possible ways that the GOP could cave or self-destruct. They might not raise taxes, but they might continue pushing the McConnell proposal, which will cause civil war in the House, and is unconstitutional on its face.

I’m glad you have more confidence in the GOP leadership. Here’s hoping you are right, and that they stay or become principled, intelligent, and crafty; that they save the government from default, cut government, and don’t raise net taxes. If they do in fact accomplish all that, then they will have our gratitude (and that would finish off Obama, incidentally).

It scares me when Dick Morris says it. Most weathermen are right more than he is.

>A bit comforting because Gallup is a left-leaning poll<

Most of the board members are Dems at Gallup, and the results shocked me.

If they “say’ it’s 8%...then it must be much worse for the kenyan klown.

They'll lose that lead if they raise the debt ceiling and give Oboma a brand new credit card.
We the People are tired of being used as government slaves. They've suppose to be serving us.

I cannot wait until they start doing the electoral college projections. It will be an anxious day for the white house.

Oh! Thanks for clarifying. When I first saw the picture, I thought it was Obama saying “I cannot tell a lie. I did chop down that cherry tree.”

The only problem I have with this Mr or Ms Generic Republican poll is the moment you put a real face to it, their numbers DROP below Obama’s.

Which means that people are looking for Prince Charming, not a real person.

Still early but I feel it will increase as the months show no improvement in the economy, etc.

From my perspective, get the Anointedidiot out of us now. =.=

“Stick a fork in him ... he’s done...” Not yet, BO and his thugs will do anything they can to prevent him from being removed from office. When he loses, there’ll be huge riots! Screw the rioters. Let the rioters live in what they create!
