“as though it is moving very FAST even when just parked”
Pretty much explains the 40+ years success of the Porsche
911. True sports cars have timeless beauty.

my good buddy had his diablo for years, he finally sold it because I kept nagging him that he could of spend 320k much more wisely.

My family has owned a 1972 240Z since late 1973.

The original owner was a young man who worked with my dad. He bought the car to use as ‘date bait’. It worked too well, and a little over a year later, with a pregnant wife demanding a more practical station wagon, he sold “The Z” to my middle-aged father.

I drove it for much of the 1990s. It is the family’s garage queen and literally, it has been stored on blocks nearly half its existence. It looks beautiful and today is back on the road, driven by my 19-year old nephew.

Nearly forty years after it was manufactured, this 240Z continues to turn heads and is still ‘date bait’. LOL!

Interesting that it is a ‘72. My current favorite in my stable is a 1972 Porsche 911E. Raw sportscar that loves to
be driven hard. Date bait? Never thought of that!/sarc
