I am very aware of the realities of this mess, but for Obama to say no to that is beyond nuts.

This is a BIG political blunder. Obama now owns a default if it happens (I'm betting he'll pay the debt service no matter what) and a credit downgrade.

Worse than the political fall-out, we already know his ideas are bankrupt, will be the revelation that he was not worthy of being liked. Things like "he is destroying our economy INTENTIONALLY" now become quite believable to the masses, instead of just being a marginal conservative opinion. Rush is now vindicated for saying "I hope he fails".

It doesn’t matter what Obama says or wants anymore. He has been dealt out of the game.

Second, it doesn’t matter if Reid’s cuts are real or illusory. If they are real, then Obama/Reid infuriate the Left. If they are a sham, then the credit agencies will step in and downgrade our debt, thus further weakening the economy.

Frankly, if the Reid plan is a sham, I don’t think it can get through the Senate itself, anyway.

What we need most today is for Reid to make his plan public. Boehner should wait on his plan until Reid issues his.

First of all, cuts in the future are bogus. Well established that Boehner can’t bind a future Congress.

Secondly, they are bogus cuts.

Watch for the details. Think about them. And think..it that really what you wanted as a Real Conservative and not a RINO.
