we are going to be lucky to get 1 trillion in cuts. Still blinking over this pictoral.

Pectoral is scary as all get out isn't it! Would be interesting to "see" my own expenditures in that light.

Bottom line is... it's pretty disgusting to get just a Trillion in cuts. Both sides act like it's a big deal. At any rate...there is so much being spent by washington that goes unaccounted for it's not funny. I know an individual in charge of procurements and acquisitions....said he could save the government thousands 'monthly' but they refuse to let people with hands on make those decisions in a timely manner..... He said it's appalling that the government has no concern whatsoever about saving taxpayers money by getting the best deals....and he's angry about it pretty much 24-7.

I don’t get this, if I read correctly. The democrat senate would cut the deficit and NOT raise the debt limit while the republicans WOULD raise the debt limit but try and squeeze in some offsets. I maintain that increasing the debt level/limit would certainly add to our interest payments and thereby the danger of default for other USA programs. The international interests like World Monetary Fund, World bankers and people like Soros are chomping at the bit to have all of the USA generated funds payable as interest on loans/debt. If I read this correctly Boehner and friends are way off the mark as to what is good for the USA. No Debt Increase.

And then this lying scare tactic again:

If that happens, and we default, we would not have enough money to pay all of our bills -– bills that include monthly Social Security checks, veterans’ benefits, and the government contracts we’ve signed with thousands of businesses.

Appearing on Saturday’s NBC Today, CNBC’s John Harwood solely blamed House Republicans for the ongoing debt ceiling gridlock: “Speaker Boehner and President Obama, were negotiating in good faith. They wanted a deal....the House Republican caucus...would not accept what President Obama needed to make a deal, and that is real and significant tax hikes as a component.”

True to form, the DB LSM claims it is "gridlock" caused by the GOP because crybaby boy king couldn't get his way. After all, why doesn't the GOP recognize we have a historic first here what with the mulatto Mussolini in the WH. When your king asks for a deal, it is the GOP's job to just agree. Remember how the RATS treated the GOP when they were jamming Obamacare down our collective throats? You mean like that kind of a compromise.

We elected the tea party house members to go to the District of Corruption and STOP this TRANSFORMATION.

Also remember House members, the GOP is going to be blamed no matter what you do - so STAND FIRM and accept the blame before you make any decision because the cry baby President is gonna stick it to you whether you agree and give him a deal, or if you leave the debt ceiling where it is.

"In the year 2000, the government had a budget surplus.

No such Government surplus ever existed. He is using weasel words to keep that Bubba Klintoon myth alive (budget surplus v federal debt).

How about this one? This is what $15 Trillion looks like. The little pallet in front of the truck is $100 Billion.

Good one!

I don’t know why Repubs don’t hold up one of these visuals every time they get in front of a mike.

why their is never a word from either side about slashing Federal agencies.

This guy said only about 10% of the people working under him are doing their jobs effectively.... the workers know they have no threat of being fired, and there are no requirements or incentives to encourage them to work to their potential so they don't. Most do not see themselves in Gov. positions for the long term either, so they do only what will get them by until they move on.

A friend and I walked by an outside couthouse window one day, He mentioned I take a look at our taxpayer money working hard for us...the gal was playing cards on her computer. Hour and half later we walked by again and she was still playing!

“Now, every family knows that a little credit card debt is manageable. But if we stay on the current path,”

then no one in their right mind would give us any MORE credit. Besides which, I am really not all so sure that a gazillion people on welfare get credit, and prolly the ones who were on it before he stole so any Americans’ jobs and savings, don’t have a frigging clue. All they know is they want those checks to keep on coming and they don’t care where the money comes from because they never could spend more than they have without stealing it or dealing it anyway.

And this one:

"To make matters worse, the recession meant that there was less money coming in, and it required us to spend even more -– on tax cuts for middle-class families to spur the economy; on unemployment insurance; on aid to states so we could prevent more teachers and firefighters and police officers from being laid off. These emergency steps also added to the deficit."
~~~~~~~~~~~
March 2011
The House speaker's answer came in response to a question from Pacifica Radio's Leigh Ann Caldwell.
"Do you have any estimate on how many jobs will be lost through this?" she asked, referring to the impact on government payrolls of the Republican majority's plans to reduce Washington's record levels of red ink by cutting federal spending by billions of dollars.
Boehner's reply: "Since President Obama has taken office, the federal government has added 200,000 new federal jobs, and if some of those jobs are lost in this, so be it. We're broke."
First, take away Mochelle’s staff, First Lady Bush had three assistant and Mochelle had 28.
Cut should start from WH.
No more party.
“History is scattered with the stories of those who held fast to rigid ideologies and refused to listen to those who disagreed.’
Like our Founding Fathers, for instance. The blip on the screen does not have a lick of common sense. Not a lick.
"Federal employees --- no threat of being fired"
NONE! Recent article proved they were more likely to die of natural causes than to be fired or laid off. LOL
This whole thing is shear madcap! Even if Boner gets everything he wants (which I hope he does) its just a rounding error. We are friggin broke. BROKE. Like in liabilities far outstrip assets (unless we want to sell California to the Chinese). The point is, without an IMMEDIATE BALANCED BUDGET and a plan to pay off the existing $14.5 trillion in debt, we are flat broke. Our taxes do not cover our public expenditures. We are insolvent and we are broke. Neither Obuttboy or Boner have a clue...
Let's be practical here... it probably DOES take 28 slaves to haul that fat ass around all day...
EVERY friggin household in America has figured out that living on salary and debt is a dangerous thing. People are either cutting back on spending (not spending via debt beyond current income) or making ends meet on credit cared because they don't have the income to support current lifestyle. Apparently, the 535 idiot losers whom we send to Washington (all of the smart people had jobs so we sent the poly sci majors!) simply don't understand that living on debt is NOT normal. We are fast approaching the rim of the canyon. Will anyone even notice that the tires no longer touch the pavement???
