Why does Rose Bird come to mind?
To: jazusamo
Heard this earlier ~ partly ~ thought it was Ol'Jer Brown giving the soon to be unemployed David Wu a job more in line with his interests.
So it's the Chicom spymaster, Liu?

Liu, 40, has never been a judge, but his colleagues at Berkeley, including conservatives, strongly endorsed him for the position. There are conservatives at Berkeley? Highly doubtful.

Yep, Rose Bird's name came up and one of the comments mentioned the people voting Liu out like they did Bird, that’d be a hoot.

Liu is considered an expert on constitutional law, education policy, civil rights and the Supreme Court. So is Obama.

Gee, what a nice consolation prize.
Since he couldn’t get confirmed to be a federal judge, let’s make him a California Supreme Court justice instead.

Agreed...At least Republicans had the spine to block this turkey from the 9th Circus.
