Kerry spokesman stripped of Silver Star

John F. Kerry almost became president running on the basis of his alleged heroism in Vietnam. Thanks to the efforts of a group of truth-tellers, the Swiftboat Veterans for Truth, the serious holes in the fantasy narrative propounded by the Kerry campaign came to the attention of enough Americans that John Kerry was not the first faux-Irish President of the United States.

I am not so sure Wade Sanders should have been prosecuted for having child pornography on his computer. He did claim he was working on a story about abused children.

Sanders also claimed that his problems stemmed from PTSD caused by the stress of dealing with those hateful Swift Boat Veterans for Truth. Alas, it turns out he was "researching" kiddy porn before the Swift Vets ever organized.

Here's Sanders' sentencing memorandum. It makes for pretty disgusting reading. As the prosecutor notes, there is no evidence whatsoever to support his research claims. Sanders had child pornography on every computer and hard drive in his house, and was making it available to others through a shared server.

Hoo boy. If they start re-examining the medals handed out in Vietnam the officer corps is going to be in deep doodoo.

Sanders served as President Clinton’s Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Reserve Affairs, but chances are he’s one Clinton administration veteran who Barack Obama won’t be asking to join his administration.

The one will ask sanders to join him in the mens room.

Congratulations to Interesting Times, aka Scott Swett!

FR is blessed with our own investigator of note. Move over, Andrew Breitbart and Hercule Poirot!

They should have grabbed the medals and thrown Scary Kerry over the fence.

Good work, friend.

What is it about democrats?.....They think they can lie their way out of anything?

Not wanting to just ‘pick on’ a “D” Prez, but lets start with LBJ’s ‘Silver Star’ as a result of a flyover in a war zone.
Being on the Appropriations Program sure didn’t hurt his chances..

I think that the LBJ story is what influenced Hillary to relate her ‘Bullets were flying on the Tarmac’ story. The only thing in common was/is that both of them were in an area where there were combatants.....

Well, there are others. Fonda, Hayden, Ayers and Dohrn, just to get started.

Remarkably enough, the Boston Globe is now running the story.

Whatever it was, it was enough to keep him out of Yale Law School. The only reason Boston College took him is that their Law School dean happened to be a Jesuit by the name of Drinan who also served in the U. S. House—for whom, coincidentally, JFK campaigned.

“How do you get a story without getting the facts? “

You get permission from authorities after they give you a thorough mental exam.

Do you rob a bank to get material on bank robbers?

Naturally, the Globe makes a stupid mistake in the very first sentence:

The Navy Times has run a story saying that Wade Sanders, a Swift boat crewmate who introduced US Senator John Kerry at the 2004 Democratic National Convention, has been stripped of his Silver Star.

Sanders was never a crewmate of Kerry, nor did they go on any missions together.

As I was told by my father (deceased).

Kerry was Court Martialed by the Navy for going to Paris and meeting with the North Vietnamese when they sued the U.S. for peace. He was still in the Naval Reserve at this time. As I remember it, it was a DD. Not a General under other than Honorable Conditions or a General Discharge.

Along comes Jimmy Carter, who pardons him and seals the record of the Court Martial.

Kerry did release some of the unsealed portion of his records, but he would have had to ask GWB to unseal the Presidentialy sealed portion.

It did come out at the time of the election, but the legacy media obviously did not report it. If I remember it correctly, the event was mentioned in an article posted here on FR, but maybe somewhere else.

It is because Jimmy pardoned him that it was not brought forward at the time. Because LEGALY it never happened.

Anyway, that's what I remember.

Thanks for the ping...although I read the court docs and now I need my mind washed to get even the descriptions of the crap he finds enjoyable, out of it. It is very upsetting.

Thing is, this type of thing isn’t a late onset condition. He has been up to this horrific behavior for years. Probably also in VN. How many kids there have stories? He stated that his “OCD” began in VN...betcha it did.

Getting the word out on Kerry’s defender...

My error, Doc. Simiarities and associations (and not reading the entire article) led me to jump too soon.

i tried to get the SWBV's site up but no joy. But If you remember, Kerry was in and out of country (short time) and back in the world as Naval Reserve. However he wasn't released after his six year obligation nor did he resign his comission. He was still in well into Carter's administration. Legal Hold I suspect.

Post 51 from Interesting Times left no doubt Wade Sanders is a lunatic. He first claimed 'bush did it' when he got caught for child pornography. These people are just not in the same plain of existence.

At first I thought it might have been a zero tolerance law again... I was mistaken.

Back in 2004, there were a few old articles I found that talked about how Sanders was helping other vets get awards that they may have deserved but were not requested by their superiors. I wonder if they uncovered a broader problem than just his Silver Star. It would be hard for my opinion of him to be lowered — but that would do it.
